Hi maplers. I just got back to the server after few years off and I tried to pick a class to play but I noticed there have been few updates so I got a question. Does heros are useless for bossing now? Because all it seems they don't have any pt buff and crush is pretty wanted. Dk have hb, and shadowers and buccaneers are pretty strong meta right now. So does heros have any change to get into bossing? Is it worth spending time on one? Thanks.
VL: easy to join 18-man run (not because hero is great but because VL 18-man is easy to join for any dps class.) Rose Garden: easy to farm 20 bees; crash helps at rg boss HT: hard to find pt Auf: average. monster magnet works on auf; could do damage while flying (jumping) CWKPQ: great Scarga: great Zak: good cuz can hit 3 hands standing in the middle; can clear mobs at body NT bosses: average.
If you find Hero fun to play then you should play it. You should just choose the class you think you will enjoy the most. There is little point playing a "meta pick" if it is unlikely to be your cup of tea. Any class can be good if you invest enough into it... how likely are you to do that if you don't like playing it though?
So it seems like all the mid game bosses are cool but most likely endgame isn't heros beat friend? And why is that HT heros aren't wanted? They can't hit few targets?
Well you are absolutely right but I just thinking if to invest in my hero or bucc because I have both
cuz there are better options. Also, except for the beginning of body (leg, L-hand, wing), which is like a few min, most of the time hero is only hitting 2 or 1 target(s)
Damn so now the choice is mich harder because I thought people here would say hero is fine or good. What happened to them? How buccs shads and dk are the best? What happened to nl?
You may remove DK from "How buccs shads and dk are the best?" Regarding other classes you could refer to other discussion threads. If I were a new player, I would either start with an unwashed shad, or a 1 hit-skele bishop then play any dps class I want (actually I would start 5 dps at the same time).
Why? Drks aren't good either? Well I'm not fully new player cause I have a bish and 147 bucc, 137 hero and 146 shad(but like with only 8k hp so it's low) so I got some money and I just want to play something fun and that won't take forever to join runs a s staff like that
low damage not many uses of hero's (pala & drk are much more preffered) will always be last place whenever a warrior is needed i mean - its hero. who plays a hero? o.o drk & pala are much more useful.
Simply put, DRKs are better heroes since the update that happened a few years back that made auto-pot repeat pots infinitely, so you can auto pot most content now. That means you will outdamage heroes without added effort, so theres is 0 reason to play a hero over drk if it's damage/meta you are after and not aesthetics. That said, both are not good compared to shad/bucc and they will do almost everything better than warriors. Until the long awaited balance patch happens, that's the case sadly. If you find them fun, just stick to shad/bucc since it will be easier to join content even on low gear.
And they don't need to wash much more? Like how much hp is enough for shad to do endgame content? Because mine is like 8.9 k hp and it feels low to keep working with that.
I made a Hero as a side character because I wanted a char to use just for RG and CWK basically (and maybe some LHC to help me lvl). DrK was my second choice for this, but I didn't want to deal with zerking. Hero really excels at mobbing and it's very comfy to play, that's the niche it currently fills and I think it's great at it. That's pretty limited though and I do agree with people above that Buccs/Shads are much better in all other aspects.... BUT! I think if you want to main a class and are really dedicated to it, the meta shouldn't matter to you. Play what appeals to you and you will have more fun. Find ways to make your class work, and make feedback posts on the forums to vent when it doesn't Wait for the day the class balancing hits and maybe your faith in your class will be rewarded. We need people to be champions for the non-meta classes too. I've managed to sneak my Marksman into 10-man VL runs. Don't bend to the meta, bend the meta to you
