I did this twice and even though I hit the boss, the NPC didn't reward me. What should I do to get a reward?
To be eligible for a reward you need to have hit the boss a minimum amount of times before it dies (like 100 times or something). You need a fast weapon, I can recommend a Fruit Knife which you can buy in the Lith Harbor weapon shop which hast the fastest attack speed in the game. Also make sure you enter the boss early (when the boss is still full HP) so that you can hit him enough times.
150 times Use a faster* weapon, like fruit knife from lith harbor do not jump and hit as this will reduce the number of hits you can dish out go to less crowded channels if you are laggy. I always go to channel 1 and even with no lag, I am only able to hit like 175-190 times before the boss dies so it could be trickier for people who lag/dont have faster weapon to get a reward.
