I spent a lot of time in ClassicMS before it shut down. I assume it had to do with lack of support, every time I re-visited the population was lower. It had a similar population to royals... will this server suffer the same fate? Is anyone making an effort to promote maple royals other than the top private server list? I don't want what seems like the last good pre-bb near-vanilla server to close.
We've been up for four years now, and the playerbase just keeps growing. We average 600 to 800 players a day, probably more around now with the 2x compensation going on though I've not checked yet. @Matt would be able to answer you better on what he does for advertisements, but I do know that we promote via facebook as well.
We mainly use Facebook to advertise due to the audience targeting tools they offer. We have had some Facebook adverts running for the past couple of weeks which have so far resulted in over 1,000 clicks through to the website, atop of multiple page likes, shares, comments etc. We have no plans of closing the server.
That's good to hear, I just wanted some kind of reassurance lol do you guys have custom signature banners to use on forums? I'm sure myself and many others would gladly use them on other forums we participate in. Maybe custom twitch cards, too.
