Hi everyone. Personally, I used to really enjoy this game back when I was younger. It was very exciting to log in and work hard on my character, and simply have fun and do many kind of things. But obviously, things have changed significantly since then. Maple Story is no longer a simple and fun game in the official servers, it has received so many unnecessary updates and changes that one could think Nexon are a company full of ignorant idiots basically. The question now is, how much passion do you have for the game these days? Personally, I have very little passion for it these days - I just play it because its simple, and I am used to this kind of online game. Well, what about you mates?
I use to play it non-stop. It was my first all nighter come to think of it, but I really agree with you, they just kept adding to it, and adding to it, when really it was already an amazing game that didn't exactly need all of the updates they provided. Now I play GMS maybe once a year for a bit, but I play private servers all the time. It still reserves a part in my gaming history, and it's always fun to come back to.
I typically don't have the time to sit around and run 2 hour instances over and over, which is the direction most modern MMOs have gone. I find myself coming back to MS because, for whatever reason, I haven't gotten bored in the 9 plus years I've played. I like that I can log in and play for a only a few minutes, if that's all I have time for.
I had such a roaring passion for this game, truly I would play non-stop and all day. I still do now that I have found this server, but it is growing out of control. I have finals tomorrow and if this gets in my way it's going to have to stop. I am paranoid it'll destroy my grades, just like when I was addicted to GMS. I came back every year and never quit, in all honesty I simply can't just yet, but there will come the day when I finally leave this loop hole. OR Control my time and have self control over myself when it comes to studying or playing.

I used to play a borderline extreme amount of time. This changed ever since the Chaos patch (although I didn't like BB, either): It all just got too easy and pay-to-win, all about merching. I mean, after 1 year of playing, you could easily have 4 Lv200s on GMS nowadays. However, I truly love MapleRoyals, it's refreshing to play the good old Maple again!
Played since 2005, still have a ton of passion for the game and its contents, I just don't have the time to grind and level up my character. Still, you'd have to be pretty damn passionate about a server to stick around for months without playing. I still visit the forums every day.
Very cool! I recently watched a video of the KMS beta on Youtube. The user interface was so different!
On my case O find myself quitting and comingback to maplestory non-stop for alot of years. But when I do play it I'm defenetley putting alot of afford and have alot of passion to the game. In fact lately i've been thinking to comeback to mapleroyals after I quitted at the wipe (it's sure is amazing to see how the server evolved since then!).
Maple is one of those games I play for a few months at a time, get bored with and then take a long break from while I go play other things. I think my longest maple break (if you can even call it that at this point) was something like a year and a half. The way it has gone in more recent years, it might be more accurate to say Maple is something I come back to when I'm bored with the other games I play nowadays.
