Hello, just a short guide on how to grind at Himes (Dreamy Ghosts) as a Chief Bandit. I am pretty sure that Chief Bandits level the fastest from lvl 70-120 using only meso explosion, so even when HP washing this shouldn't be an issue as a clean level 10 Dagger is sufficient to kill them. Personally i leveld from lvl 70-79 at Himes with a Priest (thank you again @D R E V M ヅ ) within 1hour and 15minutes. That's an average of 1 level up per 8minutes and 20seconds. From level 79 i went to Bigfoot as 1 Bigfoot gives a Chief Bandit 2 level ups ( 199.99% EXP ) per Bigfoot and is killable within 7-10minutes depending on the skill of the Chief Bandit. I think Chief Bandits get 199.99% EXP until lvl 96 or lvl 97, from then on they need HS too to still gain 2 Lvl ups per Bigfoot. Note that buying leech as Chief Bandit is more expensive than to just kill Bigfoot ( 7-10m mesos per Bigfoot required ) Anyways, onto the actual Guide: How to get to Dreamy Ghost Map: Spoiler: Most awkward walk to a map you've ever seen.. Requirements: Be a Chief Bandit Have 1 Skill Point in "Meso Explosion" Have atleast 10m mesos to start off with Knows how to drop mesos efficiently using "Mouse Keys" (Note that using the "+" Key on the Numpad is NOT allowed when using MouseKeys as it is NOT a 1:1 action anymore thus is a banable offense) If you don't know how to drop mesos efficiently go to Marty's in-depth Shadower Guide Have a Priest in your Party - the level doesn't matter when you are below or within 5 levels of the Priest Example: You're lvl 90 CB Priest is lvl 85 Or if the Priest is lvl 95+ he gets EXP regularly because he is within 5 levels of the Monster Info on the mobs: Level: 100 HP: 68,000 MP: 350 EXP: 3,200 Mesos: 697-1020 Note: EXP & Mesos are before the rates of MapleRoyals. To make the positioning easier you can just align the middle of your character onto the middle of the (graveyard?) rock. What does the Priest do? So what the priest does is just teleport from right to the left attacking every single Dreamy Ghost atleast once with Heal ( Not Shining Ray or whatever the skill is because it has too long of a cast animation ). Once the Priest reaches the left side of the map he waits a bit until most of the Dreamy Ghosts are on him stacked and teleports then to the right side of the map where the Chief Bandit was dropping mesos the entire time. What does the Chief Bandit do? As soon as the Priest starts from the right and leaves to the left you go into dark sight and start dropping mesos. ( 2222 Mesos per bag ) Spoiler: Position As soon as you see the Priest ( on the Minimap ) reaching you, you get out of Dark Sight and jump to the right, letting your character face to the left. When the Himes arrived start bombing them. You don't have to hold meso explosion down, you can tap it too to make sure you get every Hime with the mesos you dropped -Note that you make more mesos through the dropped mesos and dropped items which you can sell to NPCs. For lvl 70-72 i used a total of 1m mesos. So you literally just need a small starting budget. Make sure your pet has the following Pet-Items: -Auto HP Potion Pouch -Auto MP Potion Pouch -Item Pouch -Meso Magnet Dreamy Ghosts hit for about 1100-1300 dmg with both touch and magic damage so if you have meso guard you have to make sure you get healed for atleast 650 HP after each potion use. So if you have for example 3000 HP and use 2k HP potions just set your auto HP % to about 30-35%.
Great guide! This is one of the most nostagic things for me. Man I never leveled so fast in my life. Chief Bandit is for sure the best 3rd job. And you can easily make money during this. If you always keep your mesos at minimum(decrease your drops as your ME is getting stronger) and you will eventually be making money with NPC +loot. I don't know the minimum for the 1shot with ME 30, but from what I remember I used to drop less than 1k(so bills) and was killing them just fine. I think this would be a useful info, 2222 is sure enough but its a bit of an excess if you have ME 30.
You are absolutely right. 2222 mesos is just for level 1 ME, as ME gets a higher skill level one may reduce the mesos dropped. I'd say lvl 1 ME = 2222 mesos Lvl 10 ME = 1777 mesos Lvl 20 ME = 1333 mesos Lvl 30 ME = 999 mesos
