Hello, I was wondering what the HP requirement would be for doing HT for a NL without HB. I've seen both 7.6k and 9k floating around, and was hoping to clarify the difference between the two. If 9k protects you from a particular attack that 7.6k does not, exactly how difficult is it to avoid that attack? Thanks
7.6k allows you to HT without HB, but there's two significant pain points: 1. You risk getting 1 shot by wings. You can avoid this by using dark sight when climbing ropes and being extra careful with your positioning while attacking. 2. You risk getting killed by rocks when mass seduced to the side. You can mitigate this by turning off haste and jump attacking in the middle, but to a certain extent this is unavoidable. For me it got easier when I passed 8.5k hp. In short, wash to 9.1k if you can. 7.6k is still doable but there's no margin for error. Also keep in mind this information is from the old source and it could all change when HT is re-introduced.
Makes sense, thanks for the reply. Is there any indication on the chances that things change drastically when HT is re-introduced, and in which direction? i.e. were bosses like Zakum and Krexel changed significantly? Also, any idea on the timeline for when Horntail would be released, considering it's been awhile since they released Zakum and Krexel?
You can do it with like 7.5k or so (can even do with 7k if you have high def) but it's kinda annoying in the arms cause you'd need to use hero's will and later go to the middle of the map to not get hit by 4 rocks and die (if you get sed in the middle of the map you always get hit by 3 rocks only). To tank 4 rocks you need around 8.5k or so. The wings aren't really much of a trouble though (you just don't walk too close to them). As for changes I'm pretty sure the weapon cancel bug (when you jump/go down and it stops) will get fixed (it was already fixed in pianus) which will make ht take much longer and be more boring lol
You can already HT with 5,6k HP the magic dmg is ~5,6k. Just start at the top platform while the rest of your party kills the legs and tail. @Kressie has like 5,8k hp on her NL and she was fine, you just need to know how to HT.
