So I recently discovered that HP or MP washing is a thing. This means im really new to the subject. I found a few threads about it. so I know the basics of it, but definitely not everything so apologize in advance. At the moment im a level 58 sin. I really want to get into bossing at the higher levels. but I have heard/read that if you don’t want to get 1shot by the higher and bosses or let alone survive you need more HP by doing HP washing (especially as a sin). Until now I spent all my point into LUK (and of course the 25 DEX you need to become a thief). As soon as I learned that HP washing was a thing I stopped leveling and went to the FM to buy some INT items I was able to get a total of (4+37 int) 41 int with equips I could afford. I think I can push it to 50 but that’s it. So before leveling up I will equip all the +int items so I will get more MP. But my main question is am I to late starting at lvl 58 and it’s a total of 50 int enough? if I would hp/mp (im not sure what term to use) wash like this will I be able to do bosses at the normal levels? If not is it best to make a new character or are there other solutions?
"Of course you ruined it, dude you need at least 40.000 HP by level 125 or nobody will ever consider you for their daily pink bean runs." This aside, how do you think you can afford HP washing at a greater extend from a lower level, if you are not able to afford it by now? Sarcasm aside, just put points into int to increase you base int to around a 100 or something. You will get much more int eqp as you level up (eg. MON, ZAK helmet, HP quest, black belt, quest spec medal or other medals, face epq like maple leaf in showa, rudolph's nose etc.), so for bossing at around lvl 165 you anyway get enough HP easily - your dmg doesnt matter before that lvl anyway and nobody will consider you for runs where your HP would matter.
I’d say gg. This Sever is all about washing to boss, unless u make a Warrior lul. Btw you’ll need at least 200+aprs when u hit the lvl u want to boss so GGs to mesos. And then ppl will care about your NL’s range if it’s too low then byebye again.... So what now? Make a Archmage and sell lee.... wait nvm AM’s are dogshit now (hoping tmr when patch is over I can take that back), then play a BS and make money HOORAY!! Jokes aside, if your in a hurry to boss.. just aim for 6125hp at lvl155 at least you can HT with HB, and make some friends with DKs. If your not in a hurry... restart and spend months voting for 300+aprs you’ll have a better time for lategame bossing I’m assuming. But I’ve never washed a NL only a Sair so I may be wrong.
Here's a calculator by Shiyui. Input you current level/hp/mp (without equips), then input your int, hp goals etc, and youll find out if you can make it or not. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/hp-washing-calculator.111127/
First of all, thanks for the replay. Maybe it’s a better idea to start a new character? Because this sounds really expensive for someone with not a lot of funding
Thanks for the tip and heads-up I was kind of fearing the same. And since I really don’t want to play a mage I think this server is gg for me. I just want to play is casual but seeing the posts on this threat I think its just not for me.
thanks for the link, but i seems with my poor funding it will be one timely grind before i will see some good results.
Still lots of people that play casual. HP wash is for the higher level bosses like Horntail, Shao, and Toad (all are basically 10k+ hp). I know lots of 170+ bossers who only Zak, Krex, and do some of the pqs. Those don't require as much hp (Zak is 3.1k for example). Here's what Shiyui had in her HP calculator thread. These are the NL HP minimums for higher level bosses. 6125 HP: Horntail with Hyper Body 9800 HP: Horntail without Hyper Body 10,188 HP: Castellan (Toad) with Hyper Body 11,500 HP: Pink Bean with Hyper Body 12,000 HP: Shaolin without Hyper Body 12,100 HP: Bigfoot touch damage without Hyper Body 16,300 HP: Castellan (Toad) without Hyper Body
I regularly survived HT with my bm at around 8k HP, cause thats one attack you cannot miss (top left). You just dont jump to the bottom before the legs are dead and you are actually able to survive the whole run - even the sed at the end is manageable with timing and HW - so from this it would make much more sense to play that char for now, and later if you ever wanna go Toad or Shao without HB (U need a bit of washing for them but its totally doable for your point now) -> then just make a new perfect NL. But if you are simply looking to play an assassin, I would say play for now and skipp that hazzle and rather enjoy the cool mid game of maple
