Problem: Double hp washing doesn't work. That's where you equip INT gear then add AP into MP such that you get more mp per level up ap than you lose from a reset.
Amazing. I was about to make this exact thread. A while ago, I put points into MP as an experiment to see if I could double wash on a mage. level int mp before mp after mp gain 115 627 9366 9454 88 115 627 9454 9541 87 115 627 9541 9627 86 115 627 9627 9715 88 115 627 9715 9802 87 This is not true, I get a whopping 88 MP per AP because I have a bunch of int. At any rate, I take off all my int equips, and go to reset: Sweet, looks like I'm going to make a 15 MP profit per reset! But the reset does not work, even though it seems like it should: I made a thread about this a year ago. It was dismissed as being due to minimum MP, but that seems unlikely because I've never taken any points out of MP. The old thread is at http://royals.ms/forum/threads/ap-reset-doesnt-work.5577/ At this point, I don't even want my 15x5 MP profit, I just don't want my 5 AP to be permanently lost.
Unfortunately, the same thing happens if I try to remove HP. Looks like my mage is permanently messed up :/
Thanks for explaining this in such detail Emu! It seems that we are the only people who care about - or even realize that there is a problem. I have found a work-around (your AP are not lost). MSG. me in game! ign: Crunchy
If you can explain the so called work around, then that would enable us to help other people when/if the issue arises to others. It's not that we don't care- but I don't know how t help.
Yesyes, sorry I was just too lazy yesterday.... Next time you level up, put one more AP into HP. Then you should be able to remove all of your extra MP points back into stats. For those who want to double-wash: It works, but when you run into this error you must use the above solution to enable your MP to be subtracted again. So to re-cap the bug: Sometimes MP cannot be subtracted with an AP reset even though the player has plenty of MP, and there are AP sitting in the MP/HP pool. Possible cause of the bug: For me, it occurred when I hit my minimum MP. On my next level up, I added MP (+20) and when I tried to remove it (-12), I could not. But, I simply had to add another level-up AP into HP, and then I was able to continue happily ever after. It's really quite a minute problem. But because AP resets are so expensive, people can run into this and not want to play around with their resets to find the solution like I did haha.
