So I'm considering finally buying the illustrious Horntail Pendant as I've been checking out the spam ingame and noticed the prices look very reasonable compared with when I played a few years back. My memory is a bit fuzzy to say the least so I hoped someone could clarify a few bits for me: Do you need an item in your inventory to enter Horntail? Much like you need the eye thing for Zakum. How long does the average Horntail run last these days? I'm seeing prices of 180mil for a HTP, how much would it be for the egg as well? Is the egg a 100% drop rate? Are people still prone to crash during Horntail? Any other useful pointers you can think of? Thanks in advance!
You need to complete the prequest (Making the Secret Medicine for Transformation) and have at least one dragon elixir in your inventory to be able to enter. I would say the average run would take 60-80 minutes. The 180m pricing is inclusive of all pendants and the egg, which itself has a 100% droprate. Between 2-4 pendants drop every run. Some are still prone to crash, but the problem has been fixed for most players. If you are a non mage character you will need at least 9800 HP. If you are a mage you will need at least 2000 HP but >2200 is generally recommended. Most parties are more than happy to guide you - just make sure you follow their instructions as moving your character out of order may cost the run (locks others out / incorrect seduce order etc).
