Hello guys. I'm thinking about continuing my Bowmaster, along with my Buccaneer and DK. However, I'm having trouble deciding between a MoN and a HTP. You need 105 STR to wield a Nisrock. Even if you have low STR (like 25ish) you would still need to make up a lot for it with equips. Averagely, a ZHELM gives around 16-23 STR (let's just say 17 for the sake of the argument), a well scrolled BM overall gives 30 STR, an Allmighty Ring gives 3-8 STR (let's say 4 for the sake of the argument), a Belt gives 1-5 (again, let's say 3 STR for the sake of the argument, since a Black Belt is hard to get), 5 STR from the Rudolph Nose or Maple Leaf, Master Adventurer Medal gives 2 STR, and... Alchemists Ring give a base of 1 Str (i'm leaving this out of the equation since they're hecking expensive for most people). Goggles gives STR as well, but I'm leaving this out of the equation since a high STR clean goggles are extremely rare and expensive for the average player. That comes out for a total of 61 STR. Let's round it up to 65 STR due to the variance of the equips. For STR-less Bowmen, they would still need to make up for 40 missing STR. For ones with low dex (25-ish), they would still need 20 STR. HTP on average will give 20 STR while MoN on average will give 5 STR. However, as we know, MoN has an attack multiplier which is better damage wise. I guess my question is.... If Bowmen go MoN, how do they make-up for the missing STR? and if Bowmen go HTP, how does this affect their overall STR? Should I just put more points into base STR?
Unless your MoN is godly like 7-8 attack, I suggest you to use HTP and get more STR from untradeables. You can add more base STR to meet the weapon requirement if it's still not enough, and you might want to consider taking MW10/20 into account as well to keep it to the minimum value. Anniversary event is coming in another few months too so might wanna grab one and try your CS luck on them if you want extra source of STR.
Overall is definitely the easiest source of STR. Mine is 39 str, and it cost maybe 2b at the most. The rest 10-15 STR can be grabbed from chaosing untradeables as the previous replies have already said. For reference, I have Base 13 STR and Total 113 without MW
It’s definitely not easy to get extra STR from items, but there are ways to do it. Alcamist Ring could contribute good STR too. You could get around total of 8-10 for both rings. I would also suggest you to scroll a higher str overalls. Reason being, with higher base DEX, you would benefit more from MW20. And also, untradable earrings has 2 str. I would suggest you to wear MoN but don’t rush into it. Get a decent HTP first and slowly hunt for 10str + 7-8 WA MoN. Once you got the MoN, you can wash your AP accordingly, Max out your STR from Equipments, and wash from dex if it’s necessary. For expample, I’m base 5 Str with 115 after MW20. I’m still wearing my 27 str HTP. After I’ve maxed my overall and better Zak Helm and rings. I could wear MoN ( taking it has 10 str ) with around 8 str Base.
If I were to simplify it for you, unless you get a wa8 MoN, you're better off sticking with your htp. Except for your Drk cause screw secondary stats
