Tried to run the game yesterday and received the following error code- "error code: -2147221008 (Colnitialize had not been called.)" I searched and did not find the error code listed in either the troubleshooting guide: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/troubleshooting-guide.20556/ or the Error Code Guide: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/read-first-error-code-guide.425/ It appeared instead of the normal login screen. I am running the latest version on Windows 8 and have not had any trouble running the game before. This is the first time I've received the code. I am running the game in compatibility mode and as an administrator. I'm not banned. I've been able to get into the game occasionally , but the error code appears 3 out of four times I attempt to run it. It anyone else experiencing this?
I was using "Windows 7" as well as "Disable display scaling on high DPI" and "Run as Administrator" settings. However, running "Windows 98 - Windows ME", and "Disable display scaling on high DPI" plus "Run as Administrator" settings with the new launcher (27-1-16) seems to have resolved the issue for me.
I'm currently experiencing this. Most of the time I'll get this error code and rarely I'll be able to load the client. Last time I received this I actually deleted and reinstalled and I didn't get it for a few days. Now I'm experiencing it almost always.
