I was an inactive player that keep voting the game for NX for the last few years, because simply knowing I will play the game one day for nostalgia, at one point I know I have accumulated 2-3 million of NX. Last year December I noticed my NX has reduced down to 30k NX, opened a ticket(https://royals.ms/forum/threads/2-3-million-of-voted-nx-disappeared.199236/#post-1198193) I was told that the only reasonable cause is my account got hacked(https://royals.ms/forum/threads/2-3-million-of-voted-nx-disappeared.199236/#post-1199040) - The thread was closed right after that reply so I had no way to ask what I'm going to ask now. Didn't bother to ask until I come across of this comment (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-appeal.212226/#post-1264300) while surfing ban appeals to entertain my day It seems like the team have a way to identify whether an account is hacked or not? If so can I please request the same investigation for my account? Might be my reading comprehension ability but I feel like the last reply in my last ticket was just a guess. I dont play the game anymore, yes my PIC is in a repeated pattern but my password is not used elsewhere and I dont remember visiting shady maplestory websites back then so I'm certain that my account was not bruteforced, or was there a data breach from MapleRoyals? Also, right now my account is sitting at 146850 NX, where it should have been 30k NX since last year December, since I didn't vote for the game anymore after knowing what happened to my account. So is someone playing/voting my account? Or is there a flaw in the NX system?
There is no data breach from MapleRoyals' end. If what you are saying is true, it's very likely that your account was compromised. If you haven't changed your account information sufficiently since you've noticed the 30k, then the result is not surprising. Sometimes we find accounts with signs of hacking, and ban them until the user comes forward to claim ownership. I'll forward over your request to the admins to obtain more details on your case, but that's about the most that can be done. There is no flaw in the NX system causing players to lose/gain NX independently of voting/spending. Ty for the investigation. I can rest in peace now. Not going to ask to recover the stolen NX, but I hope at least the hacker can be traced back and penalized
