Hey guys, So I was doing the level150 hp quest on my nl for the past few days and realized that this quest is definitely too time consuming for what it gives IMO. I know some people are just giving up completely on these daily quests 'cause it's just not worth it. Howhever, the concept is really great. A repeatable quest that is asking to collect untradeable ects from lots of different mobs so you're (one day) able to go to different boss runs without going full hp/mp washing. That kind of quest would be also more appealing for new players or people who just don't wanna spend billions on ap resets or leech (since they won't have too many base int so they can actually train). To me, the drops should be massively increased in order to be really worths doing on a daily basis. Like 4x the actual drop rates (collecting the 20 flying eye's ect alone legit took me 15mins yesterday...?) So, what do you guys think about it? Should the drops rate get a boost? Keep in mind it's only a 10/20hp boost daily so getting 1.5k would take more than 3 months. Feel free to comment your thoughts about it or what/how that specific quest should be increased HF :3
Btw my character i'm doing quest on is washed. I'm mostly brigning that suggestion to new people who just wanna enjoy the end-game content without having to spend 10b on washing. I really feel that kind of change could help many people on royals, specially those who can't afford massive wash. What's your thoughts? uwu
it took my bucc about 30-35 minutes to grab quest, walk to the monsters and grab all my etc, walk back and turn in quest (I am also washed). This quest is also not meant to replace washing as many people believe it to be. I dont mind the drop rate as it is now. It used to be way worse before they increase the drop rate. Took my bowmaster (also washed) about 45-50minutes+ when the quest first came out. Spending the rocks is completely optional. I did like how they added more mobs to the quest line. I don't there is anything wrong with the current questline but I would love to see other options to gaining hp. (for ex: adding pet equip hp, increasing legendary medal hp was really nice.)
People who washed also spent billions. Not to mention the gathering of INT gear and countless hours of leech. This quest is an an alternative for players who were told they're useless because they didn't wash and also an opportunity to catch up and reach required HP for bossing instead of having to remake the character from scratch. Yes it takes time but keep in mind that the quest is literally a character saviour lol.
I'm glad the HP quest exists at all, but imho the droprate or hp amount should be slightly increased. If you're unlucky, it's a 45 min chore on a single day. Maybe change one or two of the quests from 10 to 20. Or make the droprate for 10s a lot higher so you'll feel less inclined to skip. The ulu one especially. It's easily the longest out of all of them but gives only 10hp. Still gonna do it but it's rough.
Would prefer to lower the drop rate and double the reward (which will save the daily travelling time...) lets say 1-3 hours for one completion of the quest daily the weekly HP reward gets doubled from 105 to 210, meaning one full year of HP quest gains you additional 10.9k HP For this effort, 50m x 1.5hour x 365day = 27b (with this fund, you can wash+leech any job to 30k HP already)
Drop rate is pretty decent it can range from 25 to 55 minutes really depending on your luck. I’ve done a number, not too many, as an unwashed char because obviously I cant join any higher level bosses. i think the droprate can be balanced so that the deviation between the quests isnt too much. I think some who cannot join bosses too would have to then spend months doing this quest, and having something more consistent will help as we set aside the 40 minutes daily just to get our character ready for boss. secondly I think 20hp should be a decent reward for that 40 minutes daily. Even still it would take us something like 6 months to be ready. No complains as I appreciate this quest so much.
Lots of good points here. Obviously, this quest is not meant to be an alternative to hp wash as it would literally takes YEARS to reach a high hp level. Having said that, I still think reducing the time it takes to complete them would encourage more players to do them more frenquetly and (eventually...) get "decent" hp. Of course, people who washed a 20k hp bm spent billions on ap resets and mesos, but getting to 20k hp just by doing quests would take something like 5 years to reach so in the end I think the high hp would be well deserved?
Honestly, I'm in favor of this with limitations. It's been said numerous times that the objective of the hp quest is not to replace washing, but to allow unwashed players to reach the minimum hp required to begin bossing. With that in mind, a hard hp limit as opposed to a daily system would have made more sense. I.e. do it as many times a day as you like at your own pace, but once you reach a certain amount of max hp you can no longer do it. However, the benefit to an indefinite daily system is that you can keep going as far as you'd like, given enough time that is. Even though I lean a bit towards the former, both systems leave room for other varieties of hp gain in the future. I would not be in favor of removing the daily limit without any additional stipulations.
the idea that hp washing HAS to be a part of the game is so stupid imo i mean it's obvious HP washing is exploiting something that may have been overlooked by the original designers of the game. Instead of forcing players to play a certain way why not..balance the HP of classes as needed for them to actually do the content that makes sense for their appropriate level. It sucks cause if you're a total noob and you pick a class like a bowman or NL as your first class you're pretty much fucked when it comes to end game without massively overhauling and hoping for the best. Why even keep such a mechanic in the game
that is why the official maplestory fixed it, but too bad this is an older version. Usually people will just answer with if you don't like it then just don't play it, or play a job that don't need to wash, e.g warriors, or actually spend points into adding hp? but that makes you overall weaker and hard to join a boss pt at the end.
You are not supposed to use 3 VIP teleport rocks , you're supposed to use the fast travel ticket . Aaaaaaand if you are taking too long doing the killing you might want to get better gear before continuing.
Oh my gears are good enough to do these quests. ty for caring Getting the (example) flying eyes ect in 20minutes has nothing to do with gears. It's all about the drop rate. Having the drop rates increased would just help new players or unfunded ones to be able to play a class that they like without having to make a bs to farm and then buy leech/aprs. That new way of getting daily hp is a really good idea. Just not as efficient as what people was expecting. Clearly not. If that kind of improvement could help motivated players making an attacker as their first class then why not? That would only give them an opportunity to be able (eventually...) to participate to end-game contents.
Oh so we all just need a better cape to make this quest 20 minutes shorter? seriously tho I'm sure a lot of people who doesn't have a bishop and/or an archmage to sell hours of leech or farm forever would really appreciate an increased drop rate. Myself included
