This is probably a really simple question that is widely known, but I haven't played maple before starting Royals in like 4-5 years lol.
But I am trying to lookup which monsters to hunt for certain equips, and I don't know if I should be looking at Pre Big-Bang or Post Big-Bang databases.
If anyone could help me with that, I would really appreciate it.

As for the class advice, Im trying to figure out which class to play as a permanent character.
As I mentioned above, before starting with Royals a few weeks ago, I hadn;t played Maple in 4-5 years.
When I did play, it wasn't very seriously, never even made it to 3rd job.
But I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the game.
My main problem back then was I'd get bored with a character fast, and make a new one, rinse and repeat.

So now I'm looking for a permanent class.
Instead of sking what class I should play, Im kinda looking for just others opinions on maybe what class I could fit with.
To help out I'll give a little info.
The only 2 classes I have tried on Royals was Cleric which I got to about lvl 60 just to get a little funding, and a Spearman that I decided to stop playing with after reading guides about bossing and using Zerk, and how it can be a pain to keep HP below 40% threshold, etc. So I decided not to go that route, a little too complicated.
When I am playing, I prefer to solo train, but I don't mind partying every now and then. I like the higher HP/tanky classes, or fast maybe. As I haven't gotten to higher levels with any of them, I am not sure what play style I really prefer.
Right now my mind is jumping around to a few classes. Paladin, Shadower, Bow Master, and Hero are my main ones I am looking at, but a F/P or I/L mage could be fun too lol. I am really not sure.
So I am looking for some suggestions or maybe some first hand experience tales of people who have used these classes or something like that.
    Thanks for any help.

Royals is before big bang. I find myself using the BBB Hidden Street database.

Not sure what to suggest to you class wise. I've never really played anything apart from I/L mage. I've always had a lot of fun with this class.

If you want to make an attacker class with little funding then your best bet is to go Hero. Their only purpose in a party is to attack.

If you want to have access to SE, and can fund your character, go BM. If you want to do pretty good damage but with little funding, go MM. Snipe reliant, strafing when not sniping- requires more effort? to play compared to BM who just uses hurricane. May be more interesting for those who don't like attacking with just one skill.

If you don't like bossing as much as you like watching your screen fill with numbers as monsters die in 1 hit, pick archmage. Mages in general require no funding, and their damage scales better with their level due to 1 int = 1 MA. Archmages rarely get into any boss runs, however, level extremely fast.

If you like to spam drop mesos, watch them explode and do absurd damage then go Shad. Shadowers don't require much washing (if any at all) due to meso guard. Shadowers are one of the less picked classes. (yassss we need more shadsss :333)

If you like a class that nobody picks because it has terrible single target DPS and no useful party buffs then pick Paladin. People will treat you like a legend because paladins are rare.
