Most of the people here are already working and are getting paid, but most of them don't feel the necessity of donating to maintain a server that holds more than 500 people per hour all the time. My question here is, Is the server getting enough donations from the players monthly to pay for the costs? and if not, Would making a goal donation bar help that cause? I'm not asking this out of curiosity only, but I'd like to tip in more if I knew the server is not getting close to the monthly donation cause. And if it is, I'd still keep donating for all the handwork people and admins are putting to keep upgrading the server; because in the end, this is not benefiting the GMs in anyway, this will only give us even better experience in the server.
Right now, the server is getting enough donations to pay the bills but we could always use more to make sure of that!
When I first tried the server a few weeks ago, I thought GMs were lazy and are doing little to no work at all. Haven't realized how busy you were with the forums and the beta servers and how much effort you're actually putting into a free to play server. Boy was I wrong. I'm only putting this out there for the newcomers like me, until I realized how it actually is. I'm glad I'm a part of such a great community.
This sort of thing is far to common now. I'm sure that the staff would love to have more members aboard the team to help out. The only problem is its hard to find people that won't abuse their powers, which has happened in the past. Don't need to be ending up with people banning as many people as they want, thinking they can sneak items to their characters, or what have you... Along with the addition of the current beta, they are going ridiculous lengths for hundreds to experience the game it always should have been. The fact that the new source has been in the making for ~8 months now shows this. Besides the fact that this isn't their job... it's something they do on their free time. It would be nice to see more people, like you and many others, that recognize what they are doing and appreciate it. As well as offering support to the server, which is 100% optional. I like seeing stuff like this!
