Earlier today, there were some... uhm, let's say discussions concerning a Bigfoot (which, in itself, is already childish and immature) between two parties: Gersom, Lance (Skadi) and Deb (mantouks) against GM Kenny and Mike (illuminate). Let's first present the two stories of each of the two parties at hand to clarify the situation for everyone: STORY ONE: GM KENNY AND MIKE According to the above mentioned people, Gersom was making sure no one would kill the Bigfoot so that Lance and Deb could get to it in time, A.K.A. holding the BF on purpose for someone else, which, technically, isn't allowed. Kenny had apparently been tracking them for a couple of minutes with Hide on. Gersom had apparently brought forth the argument that he could solo it anyway, which both GM Kenny and Mike ignored, since he is a Level Hermit. Then Mike came to kill the Bigfoot. STORY TWO: LANCE, DEB AND GERSOM All three above mentioned people were looking for Bigfoots to kill. They split up to cover more maps in less time, which is understandable. Gersom then found a BF, and, being a Level 85 Hermit, he couldn't do a lot with it. He hit it once and told Deb and Lance to come and kill it, he didn't do a single thing with it afterwards. Then Kenny left Hide mode instantly and said he can't fight Bigfoot as Level 85 Hermit and is not allowed to hold Bigfoot (for Lance), which he technically wasn't doing. Then Deb almost instantly came and stared killing it, which is allowed. At that point, Deb died, since she was also talking to Kenny and Gersom about the situation. Lance was out of the picture at this point. When Deb was dead and relogging, GM Kenny warped Mike to kill the Bigfoot. CONCLUSION: I don't know which one of these stories is actually true. I'm assuming both stories contain a source of truth, and I can conclude from this assumption that, either way, GM Kenny was being very immature in dealing with the situation, and that Mike was, too, by the looks of it. If GM Kenny actually warped Mike, that would be serious favouritism, which is unacceptable in every way. I can't confirm this, though, since there's no screenshots at hand. I also think it's fair to say that in both situations, it was unfair for the second party involved. If the second story is, indeed, the truth, that would be an act of kill stealing by Mike, as well as power abuse of GM Kenny. If the first story is true, the second party would be accused of illegal practices concerning the "holding" (for lack of a better word) of a Bigfoot. I'm not trying to find out the truth here, since we won't find that. I just think the situation in itself is unfair, since it's the story of a GM and a prominent member against that of three others. I know all people involved here, and my intuition tells me the second story seems more plausible to me, maybe with some detail changes here and there. This just leads me to think that this, overall, is unfair and unacceptable, especially since one of the people involved here is a staff member of MapleRoyals. DISCUSSION: Now, my question is, to all of you: Is this acceptable? It's obvious that, no matter what, something was done here that's not allowed, let it be on the part of the second or first party involved. It would also be nice to have some more feedback from the first party, since they were oddly secretive (especially GM Kenny, Mike was trying to tell everyone he's innocent, but didn't actually give details) concerning the whole situation, which makes me believe the second story at hand even more.
ksing = kill stealing. If he isn't actually killing the bf so it's not a kill steal o0 , maybe it isn't a nice move but I dont think it's illegal.
You misunderstood; on the second story, Deb was killing the Bigfoot, died, relogged and GM Kenny warped in Mike to intentionally KS it.
Time for me to bring out the fire hose. First, a fact. Kenny did not warp Mike or any character involved in this discussion to or from any map. Second, the issue boils down to the ongoing "race to 200" and the tactics people are using to get there as fast as possible. The summary is that some players were having other guild members hold or camp at BF so that they could show up and get the EXP. A player asked me if this was allowed, and I said no. I will not allow this to become some drama filled discussion, and frankly, I am disappointed that you are attempting to start a flame fest (evidenced by "Let the flame wars begin?"). Considers these embers put out.
