Hallo , I read the this topic and have a question. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/cla...ard-and-software-benefits.136768/#post-794441 Is it allowed to bind both 'Alt' and 'Esc' to a single key on a keyboard or controller? I understand 1:1 action is the rule of mapleroyals. But I think this key combination, primarily for switching active windows on a Windows PC, doesn't directly impact the game.
Thanks for reply to my weird question. I've understood that the game rules apply even if no action occurs within the game client. ofc , that's one way to think about activating a window is the game action.
That is definitely a weird case. Would be interesting to hear what the staff have to say about it, as it is not technically within the game...
But you are attempting this specific action to quickly switch between clients right? That would be affecting the game itself
I understand it could affect the game. However, I felt the potential for it to become a useful tip or method to operate multi clients, if allowed. For example, using 'ResizeEnable' to change the client size is legal despite affecting the game playing when we operate multi clients. I understand there may be low possibilities, but I just would like to clarify it.
Will discuss with the Staff team about this As of now, I can confirm the following method (3rd party software) is acceptable https://royals.ms/forum/threads/is-the-taskbar-treaker-legit.226667/ Changing of client size (regardless of 3rd party software or the default windows scaling) is acceptable cause it only affects the display and not the inputs
We have double checked with an Admin. You are fine to bind multiple keys to one key as long as this one key will only perform one in-game action per button press. We do not classify the windows function „cycle through clients“ as an in-game action. That being said you can bind Alt+ESC to a button and use it to attack and cycle through your apps. Be aware it will cycle through any task. Binding two buttons to one key where both perform an in-game action is not allowed. Examples for what’s not allowed are in Tim’s post you linked.
