This thread is to provide everyone clarity on what really really happened, beyond what I told in my thread 1.5 years ago.
See, in my thread 1.5 years ago I made it sound like Staff was super biased to not perma ban me, but I was under a lot of pressure, which you will find out about in this appeal, and thus I also wasn't thinking very clear anymore. With that said, I have to mention beforehand that while I did abuse a glitch, there was no effective combat advantage gained (also further explained) and I did come out to Staff about the truth myself, they didn't catch me doing stuff. It doesn't matter much, but it's still a detail to be kept in mind.

Why do you think you got banned?: Due to an unforeseen issue with the last 4 inventory slots having been removed in the new source, Fredrick granted my completely wiped ex GM character 4 item slots from old source.

In August 2017 I had decided that it was time for me to take my departure from Staff because of my real life situation. After my departure I decided to finally try to be a player again and started leveling my Paladin, the first character I had ever made on Mapleroyals. For the longest time this was done completely legit, as I played the game as every player would: bossing, gachaing, grinding, merching. However, some time after the Fredrick the Bandit patch went live, Zynzer and I went on our lvl 1 naked ex GM characters and realised it had Echo in beginner skills, but lvl 1 characters can't use Echo because of the mana cost. We wanted to test an innocent bug to see if we could actually use Echo so we leveled to like lvl 4 to get enough mana, just to find out it would disconnect the caster upon trying. After that we decided to continue training to lvl 7 to leave Maple Island and go see if there was anything in the FM. There wasn't really anyone in the FM, RIP FM button.. , so I just clicked random npc's to see what they had to offer, and that's where I found that Fredrick had items for me. In my farewell thread I didn't mention what Fredrick had, except for a rough estimate value, but for this appeal I will: Fredrick had for me, 1 Genesis 20 Book, 19B worth of White Scrolls, and 2 stacks of halloween transformation potions. For the longest time I had just let it sit somewhere, until one day I really wanted to increase my range a tiny bit, and resorted to using the white scrolls. Reading up to this point you might think: Okay, this guy got a huge advantage, guy must've negatively impacted the game with all of this.

I want to present a list of details, of which some were not known to the public, and some might not even have been to Staff:
The items I had obtained / scrolled with the combination of my own funding and the 60 or 70 white scrolls were:

• 61 Str Warrior Overall (which was already +4 or +5 in old source)
• 23 attack glove
• A bunch of capes that I kept selling to continue testing my luck (but the notable ones were 17 attack which I sold again and later a 20 attack)

Except for the 61 Strength overall, which was a 25 or 26 strength upgrade from my old top and bottom combo, I didn't use any of the attack gear except for posting in the Official Damage Range Thread.
The reason behind not using my own Attack Gear: @Ray was on hiatus from the game so I had borrowed his 20 attack cape, 19 attack shoe, 22 attack glove and 94 attack sleeve. (Which he can confirm if you ask him. Yan and Mike also know this because they helped me return the items to him before I logged off for my ban.

Now I want to get into the technicalities of my ban:
Staff had decided that this infraction falls under Glitch Abuse, which is stated in the rules warrants a 14 days ban for first offense.
This ban is very difficult to place in a category, since it's a once in a lifetime happened situation, but I agree that Glitch Abuse is one of the closest it would be placed under.
But how did a 14 day ban become a permanent ban? simple, I requested it to become a permanent ban.

Now in the technicalites, we have a 14 day ban decided by Staff, and a permanent ban decided by me, however.. requested permanent bans are technically only bans up to 6 months.

So why did I request a permanent ban? Matt knows, Tim knows it, Chrille knows it, but a lot of people don't know it.. and it's time for me to show what happened that has lead up to this:

I'm not really expecting my chances to be unbanned to be above 2% to be honest, but I do think it's important for everyone to understand what actually happened, rather than just leaving it at some thread I wrote shortly after a tipsy or drunk close friend left me depressed and exhausted. While a 14 day ban was in a way very lenient, in a way it kind of wasn't because of how stupid the rules were written and it actually mentions it's a 14 day ban without exceptions (except for gm discretion i suppose).
