I recently advanced to 3rd job I/L mage and was disappointed by how unsatisfying it was to advance. The single skill point you get to place into your new arsenal of skills is in most cases completely useless, I can think of only two skills in the game that are good with a single point (teleport & shadow partner).

I imagined how much more rewarding the advancement would be if you were given 5-10 points to spend. That way you don't have to stick to your last job's skills for a good while before any of your new skills become useful.

I'm guessing many are playing for the real v63 experience so I wouldn't be suprised if many are against the idea. There's also the possibility that it might break the game considering you need to spend all your points before advancing (it's possible this change will give you too many points to spend). My intention with this post isn't to have the idea added to the game (notice how it's in general discussion as opposed to feedback), I just wanted to share the idea and hear what others have to say about it.

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on the idea.

Lvl70-75 is a short level gap that wouldn’t take much to level.
Instead of 5-10skill points to be given during job advancement, i think the time required to obtain these levels in a short amount of time is already very forgiving.
It would be too out of place for a nostalgic server as such to give such additional skill points during job advancement

I see what you mean with the nostalgia argument, although I'll disagree with 70-75 being a short level gap. Maybe I'm just bad at leveling but that's hours of grinding for me (grinding that's made even less fun considering the fact I still need to use 2nd job skills.)
