Hi all, I realised it is possible to make the job advancement without having to use all of your previous job's SP. I don't know whether that works as intended, but you can use this extra SP to boost a 2nd job skill beyond the SP cap. Normally, when you try to exceed the SP cap, you get a warning "lacking level 1 skills", meaning you can't add more and should spend the remaining SP on 1st job skills. However, if you are eligible to assign SP (meaning you have spent less SP than the SP cap) and you have more SP available from your previous job, you can bypass this message by repeatedly clicking the skillup button during a period of lag. SP Cap: The amount of SP you can spend on a job's skills at a given level. For 2nd job: 1 + (level - 30)*3 It seems that, during lag, the client queues up the "Add SP" events that are fired by clicking the button, handling those first, and then activating the server-side check (to see if you exceed the SP cap). When the server is stable, the event and check are fired at the same time, preventing you from exceeding the SP cap. Once you are on or over the SP cap, the client seems to be aware of that and you cannot use this trick to add more SP. You will need to level up, so the SP cap is higher than the amount of spent SP, to re-enable this bug. Basically: if(SP cap > SP spent) You can try this method. When used during lag, it most likely works. else The warning message always appears and you can never add more SP. I flagged this as a 'minor' issue, as it seems you can never exceed the SP cap by more than 2 points before the warning message takes over. This would give a slight advantage, but is far from gamebreaking IMO. I hope this explanation makes any sense. I'm not that great at this kinda thing. If you need more information, feel free to reply or send me a PM.
Update: I've tested on my Paladin. Seems it applies to 4th job advancement as well. I managed to put 5 points into advanced charged blow at level 120 until the warning message popped up.
You're not even supposed to be able to job advance if you have SP from the previous job left over, with the exception of overleveling. Fixing that would avoid the second glitch altogether. Or maybe you're a Paladin from the future. Please teach me the ways of Combat Orders!
