Just spent 6 hours of laggy grind only to be turned down by a bug.

    ^

Spent 6 hours to do the prequests for HTPQ only to enter the cave, kill 2-3 monsters and get kicked out.
During these 6 hours I dced around 20-30~ times (died 10~ times from dcs). Rest of the deaths are from laggy Manon fights (getting one shot)
Now I apparently have to re-do the entire prequest in order to enter the cave again (and hope it doesn't bug again).

There's no warning either, it's just: Hey you just lost 6 hours for nothing, have fun.
If people doesn't find this BS I don't know what BS is.

Why don't you just wait until the server stops lagging before you do anything important? Wait until the server is stable and then HTPQ.

    The bug didn't happen to a DC, I don't really mind dying/DCing.
The annoying part is that once I was done and entered the cave, I started killing the mobs inside the cave for the items needed.
10 seconds later I jump into a teleport and gets stuck, forcing me to leave the area. And in order to get inside again I need to re-do the entire questline again.

I dont see how what you're describing is a bug. Can you be more specific? I've never encountered a bug with HTPQ and I've done it a few times, and I know others have done it several because of HT.

I turned in my items and transformed into the monster thingy. I went into the cave and 2 of my friends came and I invited them into the party. We proceeded into the cave via the NPC at the top platform. We cleaned the first room of monsters then me and one of the friend went into the top left teleport. We cleaned that room aswell and after that the teleport leading out of that room didn't work. Said something about "You can't use this portal". We checked everything, including who had keys, we dropped keys etc etc. Ended with us having to jump out of the HTPQ.

It's just a really annoying thing to encounter after reaching 120, grinding the items for the quest just to be turned down seconds later.

(This is all for Gen10 btw)

Yeah, me and 1 of the party members went into that room while the last guy stayed outside. The one outside was the one knowing what to do so we just followed his/her orders. Once we got into that room tho, we could not get out again >_>

Tbh you should just give the player the "Life Root" once they've given the items to the NPC. Because stuff like this can easily make people ragequit. I just powerleveled from 110-120 today and this made me ragequit. There's no way I'll log back on and farm those items again only for a chance of it not glitching..

Were you dropping the keys on the reactor in the rooms?

I have no idea, first time ever doing it. I had a key upon entering the second room, that's all I know.
That's not the point tho, I'm just saying they they should add the Life Root upon completing the item quest, because that will make people rage. I quit because of that, and it's such a small event of things that could easily be fixed with a simple quest reward =)

Every other bishop has had to go about it the long, difficult way. It's actually not *that* hard to go in and do the PQ once to get your life roots. And getting a manon's cry isn't terribly hard either, as Manon isnt hounded on in comparison to like, bigfoot. Have a friend/guildie come in and help you kill it to do it again.

We're trying to troubleshoot for you to see what went wrong, and to help you out so you can complete it properly the next time.

Actually finding manons (historically at least) used to be quite problematic as they were a good source of leaves and valuable skillbooks.

Yeah but they only have a 6 hour respawn time, so it's not terribly hard to find them. I've managed to find them each time I need to. (and I've hunted hundreds- good source of leaves/books my butt! lol. Never gotten one, other than rapid fire. D: )
