i've just started playing this server a few mins ago, came from Extalia. Was just wondering, why are there so many bishops ?? And is there any jobs to recommend playing as a first character or so ? Some of my thoughts are nigthlord, corsair and maybe dark knight ?
There are many bishops because they are the best starting character, or any mage for that matter. Mages require no funding until 4th job and you can sell leech to fund an attacker such as the classes as you mentioned. Funding may be in terms of gear or HP washing if you want to do it. It is also easier to self leech classes such as Corsair and nightlord from 3rd to 4th job since they have no effective AoE skills to train themselves really. It is possible but it takes a very long time. If you want to hop onto the game without worrying much about your survivability at an early level at bosses such as doing HT at 155 , here are some recommendations: -Hero (probably the strongest and easiest to use warrior. They get the skill power guard as well which is very helpful) -Paladin (not recommended much but they have power guard as well) -Shadower (they are very easy to level from 3rd job onwards, from my experience at least since they get meso explosion. They can even do zakum as early as level 70 if you really wanted to. They also have meso guard that cuts all damage received in half) -All Mages (Most recommended because you can use them to fund and leech new characters) -Buccaneer (although not very strong, buccs have lots of HP and can easily survive. They are tough to train up to 4th job however. They also have the skill Speed Infusion which is highly wanted for most boss runs) At the end though, it's all up to you. These are just some recommendations I made to make your experience here a bit easier while not necessarily having to start with bishops as most people do.
