Good evening maplers! I am here to propose a slight change to power guard as we know it currently. I was shocked to learn that upon mounting, I lose the buff entirely from my character. I understand this is an instance because powerguard is able to do damage, effectively making damage while mounted possible if this were to change. I would ask that we do 1 of 3 things unless someone has a better suggestion. 1- remove the damage reflection entirely from power guard so that it is just touch damage reduction and can stay on while mounted. 2 - remove the damage just on mounted power guard (I understand this is the bigger ask) and finally 3- Make mounting remove all defensive buffs from all classes. If Paladin and hero lose both time and survival for having to rebuff constantly after repositioning and then losing out on the regular damage mitigation, then I believe everyone should be equalized in this regard. Please let me know what you think fellow maplers!
I agree that damage mitigation sh0uld still be allowed while on a mount. I actively use my mount while training on my Dark Knight. If I were to lose HB every time I used my mount, my damage per minute would be lower because I wouldn't be able to safely get around quickly, and I'd likely not be able to train at high level areas or even bossing because of the high danger. If the reason it's disabled is simply due to damage and farming at "high speed touch damage," just remove damage while mounted and keep the damage mitigation rather than dispel pg.
Supportive of keeping Power Guard enabled (with or without damage reflection) Not supportive of removing defensive buffs to "equalize" classes, cause mages gonna instantly die without Magic Guard
