I completed Kenta's advice but my pet is still falling behind. The closeness is above 15 and was above 15 before the quest started too. The quest has worked just fine on all my other characters with other pets. I'm only having this issue on this one character with the Panda pet. Edit: I talked to Kenta and completed the quest again. It works now.
