not enough worth it skills as a bishop to warrant a guide just max gene and res for starters...

with the speed a bishop levels it you will have so many points spare it doesnt matter what you raise, just do whatever masterybook you might happen to have

i think there is an archer guide somewhere on this forums you can look at

OK, here's a quick rundown of Bishop skills from my own point of view:

Most important skills to max or at least get as high as possible:

    - Genesis (obviously, as it's your main attack)
    - Resurrection (reviving dead party members - 'nuff said. Skill is currently buggy though)
    - Maple Warrior (sweeeet stats boost)

    Also well worth having:

    - Bahamut (nice for a bit of extra damage when you can't 1hko Skeles; looks awesome)
    - Angel Ray (good for tackling single enemies or delivering a final blow to a Skele etc)
    - Infinity (not an urgent skill to get, but a very nice pot saver)
    - Hero's Will (cures seduce - should be handy when Horntail is do-able. Can't remember if you're supposed to max this 5-point skill or just put a point in it.)

    Up to you:

    - Holy Shield (personally, I found it of very little use on my EMS Bishop. It's ok, but nothing special)
    - Mana Reflection (doesn't do very high damage - up to you if you want it or not)
    - Big Bang (handy if you want to kill holy-immune monsters such as Bigfoot or those outside CWK, but not useful otherwise. I solo-ed BF with it in EMS as a fun challenge.)

Remember, as I said, this is my own personal take on things. I'd be very happy if a Bishop with different ideas on their build came along and shared their thoughts, so you can get a more balanced perspective.

Before bowmaster, an arrow rain build is far better than any other in this server. The mobs are too much for anything that shoots from a range. Hawk and puppet are good for newties.

At 4th job, put 1 in Hurricane, then Max Sharp Eyes. Sharp eyes will get you in on zak runs and other boss runs. Without a skill that benefits your party in 2nd and 3rd job, it's likely been a lonely grind until now... and SE is a lovely lovely thing. SE20 is at sharks and is a PAIN IN THE ASS to find.

Then max Hurricane. Hopefully you've been able to get in on zak runs to get the skill book for that. (I need to get in on some runs soon myself.)

    Then Bow Expert.

I used to have a spreadsheet that calculated damage for each skill level and I could run calculations for where to put points if I couldn't find Hurricane20/30 or Bow Expert 20/30.

After that... I like Dragons Breath just because it's fun.
