Since the recent server check I have been experiencing massive lag spikes in game. I have been playing MRoyals for about a month now and never experienced any lag whatsoever before this. Now it's happening every 30 seconds or so and is making the game unplayable.

My computer is a beast and my internet speed is the highest i can buy in my area (1gb download 30mb upload). That combined with the fact that it just started after check and never happened before leads me to believe it is not my computer or internet.

I uninstalled and re downloaded the client. The lag still persists.

This is not JUST when i double client, although it is much worse when i double client. Even single client full screen I am lagging horribly.

Any and all ideas appreciated. I love this server to death but i fear if this continues I will have to quit due to sheer unplayability.

    Thank you

I haven't had any lag issues, it could be a regional issue. But dumb questions first -- have you checked you don't have general packet loss or latency spikes?

I do actually appear to be having some packet loss issues. I took a packet loss test online and had anywhere from 10-16% loss which, from reading up on it, is pretty bad.

This has never been a problem before and there doesn't seem to be any latency issues or general internet issues at all apart from that. Just bad timing that it started right after server check i guess?

What do I do about packet loss issues?

Thanks for the reply, by the way.

You can try ethernet and see if your router is ok, but there's a good chance its just something in your area you'll need isp to fix.

plenty of lagspikes from here in sunny singapore ._.
lockdowns are making it ultra laggy in the day (inside and outside the game) but more tolerable/smoother during off peak hours

I tried a bunch of stuff and nothing worked. I called Rogers and they said there were no outages/problems in my area. Had them replace my Modem entirely. Seems to be working OK now. Thread closed I guess.

Thank you all for trying to help! Much appreciated

This is true. Especially lately, I will experience lag where it'll take 8 hits to kill a mob which usually only requires 1 hit.

Most of the time it would be fine after I reset my router, but why should I need to reset my router every 30 minutes to 1 hour. This is especially difficult when there are other parties using the same connection and disagree with me resetting the router so frequently.
