    It's time to let us have fun in a private server, for once.

    It's time to bring out the release of the level 175 black summoning "The Boss" sack from Showa. We've waited for so long.

    It's time to stop waiting.

    It's time MapleRoyals had a new challenge.

    It's time to upgrade from "Monster Galore" sacks, which barely put a dent in those afking henny hoes that're 160+.

    It's time to listen to your community, Royals staff.

    It's time.






    Some incentive~ You could make dirty money if you made these sacks available from RP-only, and for the people that would complain about there being too many of them, make them a daily or WEEKLY limit on purchase, so they wouldn't flood too much. I would buy one every day.

    I don't think it's a good idea to give the players the option to mass-genocide noobs by spawning a boss on them that hits way above their HP lvls essentially shutting down whole areas of the game.
    We're also not planning to put any items with such power and use behind a pay 2 win paywall of RP purchase.

    I think you're forgetting that the server is hosting 20 channels.

    An option could be a daily/weekly limit and let channel 1,2,3 (examples) be safe channels where the sack would have zero effect

    Perhaps a better alternative is forcing the Boss to only be spawned in maps with no one else around (if this can be implemented) and create a message in the chat to alert anyone who comes into the map about the Boss.

    Unfortunately, it will not be considered regardless of how funny it is.

    (Yes, I have been online a few times in Henesys when someone spawned a few sacks and killed the entire town, I lol-ed my way out of the map)

    Maybe if you argument this can be considering a good idea for those who actually care about EXP rate.
    There's no big bosses at royals but mains, so this can be considering a good alternative for those boss hunters AKA "i wan't the 5k" players.
    And this itsn't a Pay to win server lmao

    EDIT: I just check "The boss" its actually a main -hidden- boss. Considering this argument, i guess all what i said should be wrong, since i tought was a secundary boss.

    I honestly hate this idea because it gives p2p players a privilege. The idea of RP now is having an uncommon cosmetics, not to let them do whatever f2p players cant

    That's a pretty vague response, may I ask why it will not even be considered? I'm not just ranting and raving, this truly is something many people want in the game, not just to be rude, but to build up for events for guilds or friends that want to face the challenge in a private location or something.

    ...The way I'm reading most people's responses: This is a very Nexon-ish way of handling a private server. It's a private server...we shouldn't be bogged down to Nexon standards. The RP idea was just something to catch GM attention (hopefully), you could put a limitation on how many there are per account, or even host a weekly event, where the top winner receives like 5 of those sacks. There's so many good ways to implement them without having a bunch of screamos freak out.

    Host a weekly GM event: Winner receives 1 or more of those sacks along with some mesos or scrolls.

    Do you work for Nexon?

    This boss is too op for a sack. Maybe make a HH sack or something. Stronger than galore but not too strong

    But on topic, why would our staff release a summoning sack for a boss that's already locked behind a daily cooldown?

    First I thought this was a stupid idea, so I picked "Yes". Then I realized it's a crazy idea, so I changed to "Yes". But after a while, I came to my senses and picked "Yes". Based on all the negative feedback this thread got, it will probably result in a "Yes" after all...

    I picked the 2nd line because by default, the 2nd line should be a No xD

    agreed, spawning a boss only a few players can kill just makes them feel superior like "I'm one of the top NL who can kill it"

    I mean, I love mob sacks. I really do, but maybe this is overkill lol.

    Jr. Balrog may not do as much damage to higher players (you'd have to be really lucky to get a kill), but that's the point and yet it still gets its job done to everyone ;)

    In my opinion, using Jr. Balrogs is like hazing... the sack would kill lower-leveled players and prompt those players to level up and become stronger to then use that tactic towards new generation low-leveled players. Being able to outlive a Jr. Balrog's attack is like a sense of accomplishment.

    Jr. Balrog is primarily funny to the higher levels, but I won't even think that The Boss is going to be funny to anyone unless you have 0 EXP or don't give a crap about progressing through the game. I mean, I've never actually got to see The Boss's touch damage, but I can safely assume that it could kill a player with 30k HP in 2-4 hits:

    - The Boss weapon att is 1,600
    - Horntail's Tail weapon att is 1,750

    In fact, The Boss has about 150mil HP. That's a crap ton of HP which can and will take a really long time to kill, no matter your level... Jr. Balrog had the fortune or curse--however you want to look at it--to get one-hit killed by a player. If summoning is a dick move, a high-level player can end it right then and there, whereas, with The Boss, you'd have to call a whole expedition of high-leveled players to end it, or even a GM.

    In fact, now that we lose EXP when dying, those who are levels 180+ will surely be pissed when they die because EXP is much harder to gain around those levels as opposed to being a lower level. (Sorry for discriminating the newbies) -.-'

    Mob sacking is already a distasteful move, but it will be even more distasteful if The Boss is included...

    If ANYTHING, I feel as if the GMs could host Bossing Events in towns or other maps, then announce and schedule it to give warnings. I can't trust other players, nor myself, with having a 'The Boss mob sack' lol.
