So I've been following the DK guide by Plenty with regard to 3rd job SP distribution. I'm going Hybrid DK and was wondering if its ok to max PA Fury instead of Ele Resist first. I did Spear Crusher first at level 7X because at the time I had no good high level Polearm to use but had a Sky Ski. But now that I'm training at mobbed up spots more and I got a PA better than my Sky Ski, I wanna be able to get PA Fury asap. So bottom line: Is Ele Resist so important I need to get it right away at level 9X or is it ok to get PA Fury first if I really need it? Thanks in Advance!
I totally agree with your idea to max PA Fury before Ele Resist. Elemental Resistance is actually a useless skill in 3rd job, according to me. However, it's very useful in early 4th job, and also later for maintaining your HP within the Berserk range. In 4th job, it can be interesting with damage reducing skills and this is why Elemental Resistance is maxed, as well as Achilles later. But in 3rd job, you will have enough HP for every place you might want to level up in, even without Elemental Resistance It's OK (and highly advised) to get PA Fury first.
