Spear or hybrid. Spear>polearm in boss fight dps in most cases. Pure spear gives the most flexibility in 4th job, whereas hybrid is faster training in 3rd job.
IF you are NOT funded, for e.g if your DK is your 1st character, Go hybrid. Reason is [Crusher skill] Spears deal 100% dmg with Thrusting Attacks Polearms deal 70% dmg with Thrusting attacks [Dragon fury skill] Spears deal 70% dmg with slashing attacks Polearms deal 100% dmg with slashing attacks Therefore polearm is more useful when you are grinding at maps like Himes attacking more than 5~6 mobs at a time with Dragon Fury skill. However, toward the late game as you start bossing (which only has 1~3 targets at max), Crusher skill with spear will be more powerful. If you are funded, welp... you will be mostly leeched till 135 so you can just go with Spear only since you will barely use dragon fury at high level.
