Just a few minutes ago, I logged in the game, and surprisingly I showed up in a Shaolin boss run where there was only 3 minutes to go and other players are hitting the boss. At the moment, I was tapping my phone and didn't realize it, but when my eyes turned to the screen, I was shocked because I was dead somehow. I mean, I showed up at the place where I shouldn't be and even died, that's why I was shocked. I remember the last time I logged off, I was in free market, channel 2 door 19, because my store was there, so I'm shocked about where I was when I logged in today. Do you think this is a bug? or someone uses hacking tech to leverage my character to HS for them (because I'm playing BS) when I'm offline? Well, I don't know. Even worse, I lost about 15% exp somehow. Actually I didn't log in for about 2 days, and last time I logged in, I earn my exp at 53%, but now, it's only 38%. Could you give me an explanation about it? 2 clues: - One thing that seems weird is that one of my buddies was in the Shaolin boss party, he was shocked too, asking how I came in. Well, I have no idea how to answer it. - At the last time I logged in, I joined Shaolin boss run with my guild friends and earned 10% exp, reaching at 53%, then I logged off at free market. I'm not sure if there is any connection to this bug. Now I think I have the right to have my 15% exp back, if possible, and please investigate the bug I met, it's really really weird and ridiculous. I'm a player that plays MapleRoyals for 2.5 years, and this is my first time reporting the bug that I came across. I have no reason to lie, so please trust me and fix the ridiculous bug. If there is an explanation for me, it will be wonderful! I'm really curious about the reason behind this "amazing" experience. Edited from original post: you might have been thrown in after the tiny rollback recently. We do not offer services to recover lost experience to players dying.
hmmm the tiny rollback... this might make sense about why I was in Shaolin temple, but why is there a rollback? is it normal? What's more, I can ignore the exp I lost because of my dying for sure, but I still received 10% exp by killing Shaolin boss before the rollback, so it doesn't count right now? Actually I think the rollback is hard for me to understand, could you give me more information about it?
Rollbacks are when we move the server back to the last saved state. Thess are usually up to a couple hours of runtime and all progression players have made in that time is moved back to the time a few hours ago. So if you got 10% from a boss, you lose that boss exp and it goes back to the point at which you never started it or in your case, were right in the middle of it.
well, if so, I can understand why my exp is 38%. Now, my question is, will the rollback happen frequently in the future? or how often will it happen? and will there be any announcement about the rollback in case many players don't know about it?
Rollbacks do no happen often at all. This was the first one since the really huge 3-day rollback back in 2017 if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't worry too much about it, and even if it does happen again, it will only be moved back to the previous hour or so. There most likely will not be an announcement.
