Character Name: Bigheals / necronicone Problem: Cannot get past character selection screen - MAC ban on account. Additional Information: Upon character select, my game just crashes without an error message. I went to the troubleshooting page, and it said that I have a mac ban on my account, but I don't know what that means. I don't think I've been banned for anything since I have not played this server very much. Maybe I was banned because I made a poor choice in character/account naming (an admin with access to my account details would be able to tell what I mean). In that case, I've made another account, featuring the character Bigheals, and I would be happy to use that account instead.
I'm not sure if this is related, but the character "Bigheals" got deleted somehow so I remade it as "BigHeals". Maybe it got deleted because it had 0 playtime? The same issue still persists, though. /bump
Just tried again, no cigar. I tried reinstalling & adding an exception in my firewall. It just crashes w/o an error except "MapleRoyals has stopped working". I'm on windows 10 if that makes a difference.
So in looking though similar forum posts, I found and attempted the instructions listed in https://royals.ms/forum/threads/you-have-been-disconnected-from-the-login-server.68005/ Entering the command prompt thing did not work, so I took a look at my network adapters. the procedure in the above post mentions removing any microsoft duplicate adapters, which I don't think I have any, but I did find that I have a lot of adapters, which seemed off (see pic) should I get rid of the many TAP ones? I don't know about this sort of stuff, but they may have been caused by various installs of hamachi / tunngle I've gone through over the years. Maybe I should get rid of these?
I got it working finally, I spent quite a while figuring out this evening. In my case, there seems to be some issue with the resolution at launch. It launches in windowed mode, so I have to use alt+enter to fullscreen it, then alt+enter again to turn it back to windowed, and then I can play normally. Curiously when I do get the game started, neither windowed nor fullscreen is actually selected in the settings menu. Thanks for your help, though!
