So I was disconnected into login scene during mid auf twice, back to back around today's reset. It's time to speak this truth loudly, and honestly: Mage farming is the BEST content in this server, NOT because of the meso, but because there's almost no PENALTY when you get dc'd. What disconnection? 99% of EU/NA players don't know about this so I'm here to tell you the story. Yes you just listen to this as if listening to another episode of variety show because it has absolutely nothing do to with you anyways, before, now, and future, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with you all EU/NA players. You can find more than a few related threads where people trying to make a report about this issue, or trying to figure out the cause of disconnection: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/bez...changing-intervals-starting-yesterday.242910/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/3-12-members-disconnected-in-vl.249664/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/data-for-d-cs.249760/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ongoing-random-disconnect-issue-since-2025.254925/ There are much more but these are what I could recall instantly and I've quicky found. I might include more threads/reports once I find them. This disconnection issue has become noticeable since early 2025. It has been affecting mainly Taiwan, Korea, sometimes Singapore and Isreal players as far as I know, basically people living in crowded area/cities, and has ruined countless boss runs / APQ / VL runs. How do I know this? Because I personally have been in those ruined boss runs / APQ / RG / VL runs, either being the victim or being the survivor watching my party members dc. It happens randomly. It happens when you have 5-6 clients opened. It happens when you have only 1 client opened. It happens when you're in APQ stage5 and about to complain how boring it is. It happens when you just went in RG constructing your new bee catching strategy. It happens during your regular daily LHC golems. It happens during mid VL when you all are making good pace in b3. It happens when you are doing hp quest. It happens when you are just afk in fm. When it happens, player will first experience an obvious lag spike, and after 5-15 seconds dc back to login screen. If you have multiple clients opened it becomes more funny. You have 5 clients opened. You might notice lag spike starts happening in 3 of the clients while the other 2 behave normally. And then, out of the 3 having lag spike, 2 will dc and 1 will be back to normal state. You now have 3 clients "survived". After 1 minute, maybe 6 minutes, you start noticing 2 of the 3 again start lag spike and how many will dc? you never know, maybe 1, maybe all 3. The one and the only solution to avoid dc is by using VPN to connect to the game. This is why I've been using Mudfish in almost all my VL runs during March 2025 - Jan 2026. I also used VPN on other contents and that enabled me to observe how effective this solution was: when I had multiple clients, those connected with vpn would never get dc - if it did, although less than once in a month, I would check node status and it's always some error occured on the node itself. Not using VPN = Risking disconnection I prefer to not use vpn because 1. mudfish charges by traffic usage which can easily scale up when you have multiple clients 2. I do not like subscription things. i.e. other vpn service providers 3. Why would I have to pay 3rd party for even a "normal" in-game experience when non-P2W is an important feature of this server. In Nov 2025 - Jan 2026 I noticed the disconnection has become less occuring. In March 2026 I noticed the issue has come back again along with the release of valentine event, until now it's been happening almost as frequently as 2025, probably because there're lots of waves of logging in for valentine boss. The feeling that I'm not allowed to do contents. If you happen to be the few people who know me personally, you would also know that I'm a bit of (or, very, your call) anti-social and have focused more on the game itself. I do solo a lot of stuff, PQs, bosses, for fun, for min-maxing profit, for saving time on finding people, for experiments. The only thing I've not done solo is probably HT (a boss that I don't really like but thats irrelevant topic). Am I a min-maxing player? Yes. MS is inherently easy game and in the end it's all about grinding not gaming/improving. Everyone if played for a long enough time will eventually become a min-maxing player in some way. Believe it or not I do also enjoy doing content with people regardless of the meso/hr rate. I loved PQs and came back to APQ during valentine event and the apq community unsurprisingly disappointed me once again. I join quite a lot of VL runs. I'm so lucky to have several VL groups at a time. After playing Bs/Bm/NL/Pally/Bucc and then Shad in 12s/18s/11s/10s runs, I've realized VL is just one step away from being an excellent and balanced content without any current class balance change needed. I do VL cuz I still find some kind of fun on it, although it's not really profitable. (Doing RG on warriors/arch mages gives better meso/hr rate than 12-man VL and is indeed comparable to mage farming) But when I tried to touch the group, tried to do content with people, what would I get in reward? I would get shit, literally shit. I disconnected, what now? what would I say to my party / to my service buyer. People are being kind and would always say "oh unlucky" "it happens". However no one knows what I prefer to hear is actually "hahahaah go fucking eat shit you inferior internet user" cuz you will be totally honest to me by saying this. This issue has pushed me into the thinking that I can NOT enjoy the game normally and further made me more of a solo player. I say this all from my heart. Yes this is a rant from an unlucky dude who have got disconnected to the left to the right wasting hours and hours doing content just to get dc. Yet this is an actual feedback after months if not a full year. I say this all from my heart. Do not press the "Report" button trying to mark this as "irrelevant".

if the entire server disconnects but 1 player stays online, it's not the server's issue, that's apparently how it works around here this post, along with pink bean soontm, balrog shoulder where, event/content postpone/delays are all just different ways of saying the same thing: Spoiler: hehe W E L A C K D E V S
There's a known issue right now when you are changing resolutions during the megaphones that display a person in the top right it'll disconnect you. I always watch to make sure one is not going while doing a resolution change and avoid disconnects this way. Likely only accounts for some of the disconnects, but might help a little. As a NA player - can confirm I rarely see disconnects otherwise.
I've experienced lag spikes up to a certain point with DC, but now that I have a custom VPN on my Windows 10, stability has improved significantly. Before, I had DC crashes more than 20 times a week, and that's been reduced to 1 or 2 times a month, or due to internet or power outages. After that, it's been non-stop. Remember, Windows now has the feature to create your own network, even changing the DNS of the websites you visit.0/ GL pros!
I DC daily, multiple times, and it has ruined HT runs, Zak runs, APQ.. you name it. Tried making a post about it but only other players have offered any help, which hasn't worked. Might have to try a VPN. Unfortunately I already pay for NORD vpn for IPTV usage, but of course that one is blocked lmfao.
I'm the one who first identified this bug and made a report on it. So yes I'm aware of it and it's a different type of dc/game crash. Thanks for your input.
