I recently spent about an hour and a half collecting 160 Red Ribbons on Pig Beach where spawn rates aren't even that amazing. I found that i was getting a drop once every 5 or 6 kills and the map was mostly flooded by normal Pigs to begin with. If i didn't have my Bishop collecting them and i was just a lonely Thief I'd have a huge problem doing it.
