Every time I try to download the game, I get as far as creating the desktop icon. When I click on said icon, I get this error message: "Mapleroyals.exe is not found within the mapleroyals folder", and I've tried to reinstall in and use different download versions, but nothing seems to help. I disabled my firewall and re-ran the installer, and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?
How would I go about getting through that? Sorry to be a nuisance, I just really wanna try this game.
Depends what antivirus you use, google is a good source to find that information. You will likely need to disable your antivirus first and then if you want to keep it active make an exception for the mapleroyals.exe.
Sorry to be a nuisance again, but I'm a tad confused. Do I need to have everything disabled *before* starting the download to avoid this problem, or is there a specific file that's downloaded that I need to make sure goes through my antivirus? Since you downloaded the setup you don't need to download anything just running the setup again will give you all the correct files, since you say the file got deleted it will likely just be deleted again unless you disable your antivirus. Yes the file that you don't have, the mapleroyals.exe, if your antivirus deletes it you can't play. I don't use Mcafee so can't help you with that I suggest using google.
I finally managed to fix it!... Sort of. Now I have the error message that says: "error code : -2147024809 (The parameter is incorrect.) Any solution for this one? T_T
Right click the client > Properties > compatibility > change the compatibility to windows 98/windows me Should look similar to this: Spoiler
Run the .exe in compatibility mode (I like to use XP SP3) and as administrator. Assuming you are on Windows 8/8.1/10 this is just an annoyance that will pop up quite often when attempting to launch the game. Keep trying and you will eventually get in - I get it all the time. Edit: @Andreas won
