Good morning, I've recently downloaded MapleRoyals and I received the following error when trying to launch both MapleRoyals.exe, and MapleRoyalsFullScreen.exe: I initially thought there was an issue with the host/ download link so I tried a fresh install from both the other links (GoogleDrive, MEGA, and Sync). I've done some Googling, and have come across similar errors posted on this forum where people advise closing other programs, and to play with the compatibility settings - neither of these have worked for me - when I click "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 98/ Windows Me" the error does not pop up, but the application does not run at all - it is not in task manager processes either. Unfortunately for myself the other posts eventually work - but no solution is given. My specs: Windows 7 - 64 bit i7-4790K @ 4.00 GHz 8 GB of ram Thanks in advance.
No I can't - when I click the application to launch the above error pops up. It does not specify a specific error code which leads me to believe there's a compatibility issue vs. a program issue.
I don't have an antivirus installed, Window Defender, and Firewall were both disabled during the installation, and upon initial run test. I've also tried to uninstall everything, restart my computer, and tried re-installing to no avail.
I came across a similar error and found this following post: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/win7-error-patch-14-04-19.137652/ "remove dinput8.dll from the mapleroyals folder" I did this and it has launched. Thank you for all your support/ troubleshooting assistance above.
