i rebooted my computer, ran the game in compatibility mode, uninstalled the game and deleted everything, reinstalled it, added it to my antivirus's exclusions list, and nothing works. i was trying to figure this out myself but i am kind of at a loss now.

i don't get to even the logos before it crashes and gives me simply a "MapleRoyals has stopped working" window without any error messages. any help you could give me would be appreciated.

EDIT: uninstalling and rebooting the computer once more worked, but i still don't know the cause of the problem so this probably won't be very helpful to anyone else who encounters the same problem. hopefully whatever this is gets fixed, though i know the dev team does a lot of hard work already.

After an uninstall, it's best to restart the computer. That way anything written to the registry can be completely removed. Sounds like something was leftover from the previous install.
Glad to hear you got it working!
