As the title indicates, I need a way to play Mapleroyals in Windows mode as I alt tab to check on other things (Like KanColle) a lot. Things I've tried: - The two In-game options: Alt + Enter and Window mode (Window error sound pops up for both) - Changed monitor frequency by setup.exe (Didn't work for all 5 modes) - Installed and tried DXWnd (Didn't work, maybe didn't use it properly) Halp ;_;
I guess I should clarify what I said in the first post. By - alt + enter, I meant anything in-game: meaning both windows mode and the full-screen mode with alt + enter option. Editing first post.
Maybe try running it with compatibility for windows xp? I'm not sure if that would help, just an idea. That's weird you're getting an error tho...
Sorry for the double post @happyname When I tried to run the program with Windows XP compatibility, this error shows up. Spoiler
It probably has something to do with your monitor's resolution. I had the same problem (with the windows error sound), but then I bought a new monitor with a better resolution ( my old one was basically a square) it worked fine.
Update: Forgot to mention this but when I try to alt + enter or go windows mode, that thing on the upper right corner of the image pops out. @Egonics By properties, you mean the game properties or the monitor properties?
I heard others say the shortcut is alt + f12 for that counter in the corner. The games properties when you right click the client and go into the compatibility tab.
If you have windows 8 I think the game works better if you run it in Windows 98/Windoes ME compatibility mode (it wouldn't even start up for me without it). Try that and also check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" under the compatibility settings and see if that works.
Sadly I have Windows 7 so idk. I think I'll just settle with alt tabbing until someone comes up with a solution that works. Thank you all ;w;
My desktop resolution is 1680 * 1050. - Windows doesn't work on other Maple Servers - Setting quality to lowest didn't work
I had the same issue and setting my monitor's resolution to 1400x1050 BEFORE opening Maple solved it. (My native resolution is 1920x1200).
