Does MapleRoyals offer patches to update the existing files on our machine? I don't see any as far as I can tell. Some players may not have a lot of bandwidth they can spare. Rather than having to re-download/reinstall with each new update or event, it would be easier and faster to download a small and manageable patch file. That's how MapleStory used to do it. I would imagine at around October/November, there will be another update coming that would require a re-download/reinstall for Thanksgiving/Halloween Event. Then the Christmas Event will follow shortly after, and we'd have to do it again.
There is not a discussion or vote to be had here. A patcher is a priority for us, as not only does it make things easier for the players as you mentioned, it also comes with a lot of benefits on the management side. There are plans for work to be done which would optimize the game files (remove unused/duplicate assets, make other changes resulting in smaller file sizes, etc.) and create a patcher to ease some burden on players. However, there is currently no eta at this time.
