With every new character I make, I cannot warp through that first warp. I know that all I have to do is drop an item, or change channel, but I'll bet many new players just give up right there. I often recruit players on that first map on Maple Island, and I often get the question: "Why the hell can't I get through this warp? This game is broken. Fuck this shit." And they log out and never come back. And I'd imagine it is even more common for people to give up when I'm not there to tell them to change channel. When people are first playing, they're looking for flaws, and when they get one right off the bat they may not be able to figure out, I'm sure there are a good number of them who just give up. Since growth of the server is one of the most important goals of the staff, I'd think that fixing this warp problem (or at least that first warp on Maple Island) would be of great importance. So, I just wanted to throw it out there. Perhaps it'll all be fixed with the new source. Just wanted to make sure it's being considered
All you have to do is kill a snail and loot the items. I never noticed that, cause I always kill something. I tried some random private server once and I got stuck at the beginning where you have the apple costume and it annoyed me and made me quit, no patience.
Can somebody explain what warping through the first warp means? I have literally no idea if you are talking about a portal? Or some part of the map which teleports you another part of the map? Or an npc that it meant to take you to another map? Or even what map the issue is on.
The first map after you make a new character, the portal is bugged (can't enter) until you either drop an item or pick up an item e.g. kill a snail and pick up the drops.
