I was partying with my friend, Emrah, at GhostShip2. A botter was botting in the bottom right cornor, so we both reported him. Some guy came into the map, saying he was waiting for the guy to dc. He used the ~mapowner command thingy, and saw that the botter owned the map. I told him I was partying with my friend (Emrah, not the botter). You can ask both Emrah and Pajamas, I was partying with them only. Not the botter. Character Name: Short Last thing you did: Grinded with my friend at GS2 Why do you think you got banned?: They think I partied with the botter I suppose? Ban message when attempting to log in: Banned until 7th nov for botting What GM banned you (optional): Dimitri Character Name: Shorter Last thing you did: Stood outside the map to give us HS whenever needed Why do you think you got banned?: They think I partied with the botter I suppose? Ban message when attempting to log in: Banned until 7th nov for botting What GM banned you (optional): Dimitri
Can you explain why you said the following things: "im on their team" "im in their party" And can you explain me this as well: Why do you continuously ask someone who is idle on a rope to cc and stop ksing when neither you or the person on the rope are mapowner?
I was partying with Emrah, Pajamas and Shorter. I was talking about them, not the botter. I even reported the botter myself. Why would I ever report a guy if I was partying with him? If PinkCleric had screenshots of the botter, you would be able to see his heal not hitting me. I told him to stop ksing when he was actually ksing, and to cc when he was constantly bugging me with his spam. And my HS got banned aswell for botting. It was never inside the map at all + it never said a word anywhere. I don't really understand that one either.
Mapowner was used at least twice in the screenshots PinkCleric has provided, and in neither screenshots were you or your party members mapowner. Do you understand why I'm asking you why you asked someone to cc and stop ksing when you weren't mapowner? As for your HS also being banned is because you're currently banned as a player, not just an account.
But we were there before her. The botter was in the bottom right corner, barely hitting a single mob. And I expected you to ban the real botter any second so that the mapowner would show that we owned the map. Still irrelevant since I was banned for botting, not for anything else.
But you do understand that the map belonged to the botter and not to you? And that you shouldn't rely on a GM banning the botter so you can take mapowner? The reason this is relevant is because the way you talked really sounded like you were in the party with the current mapowner and that you were asking the other player to leave for him.
Uhm, why shouldn't I rely on a GM banning a botter when multiple people report him? The way I talked sounded like I was talking about my friends from my perspective. The screenshots can be out of context you know.
I didn't say you shouldn't rely on a GM banning a botter when he's reported, I did say you shouldn't rely on a GM to ban a botter any minute now so you can take the mapownership. And sorry, I can not understand your perspective on this.. It was clear that LinbaGaTao was the mapowner which means that you shouldn't have asked other people to cc and stop ksing you when it wasn't your map. It just makes no sense unless you were partied with, or are LinbaGaTao.
So if you believe I am that guy or his friend, let me ask you this: Why would I report myself/the guy you believe was partying with me? Why would I allow Emrah to be in the map but not PinkCleric, if I wasn't in his party? Why would I be using my own HS mule outside the map, if I was in a party with a priest? I think you should get another GM's perspective on this one if you still can't see it from my point of view. Edit: Also please compare my IP with the botter's, if you believe it's my account, or login to his account and see who he is partied with.
All I'm asking for is the reasoning behind why you ask someone to leave your map when it isn't your map, but it was the botter's map at the time. If you can give a clear reason to this, I can consider unbanning you.
I thought I answered this. But I can do it again. I wrongfully relied on a GM banning the botter within minutes, so that we could use the map instead of him. PinkCleric then later entered the map with the same idea and started to ks after we had been waiting, so I asked her to cc. She was then on the rope, and I asked her to cc because she was spamming me.
It's impossible for PinkCleric to have KSed you because as Dimitri keeps saying: it wasn't your map! That whole argument you're trying to make needs to be thrown out because you're assuming the map was yours when it wasn't.
But is that a bannable offense? I guess I didn't expect that he had rights to a map, since he was technically afk but botting. He was in the bottom right corner, since he fell down from the stairs. I expected him to be banned / run out of potion and die at any time, so that we could use the map instead of him. Edit: Also i was banned for partying with a botter, which I proved I wasn't. What am I still banned for then? Please give me a clear reasoning for what i'm still banned for, so I can defend myself
I guess the lesson to be learned is that you shouldn't be trying to steal a map from anyone, no matter what you think they're doing. You shouldn't be trying to take advantage of ~mapowner, but rather only use it in your defense when someone tries to KS you as opposed to trying to boot someone out that was there before you. Because if you think about it and actually used mapowner as it was intended, this situation would have never happened.
Technically no, warnings are not given when you break the rules. Though I am to believe that this ban is just a misunderstanding and I'll unban you shortly. I do however recommend you to read the terms and conditions to prevent this from happening a second time.
