Introduction: Hi. My name is Junsoo, also known as that one guy that quit corsair after one horntail. But don't mind that. I've discovered a lot of things while playing my favorite class in the game, Shadower. I've heard many things about setting up for the infamous skill Meso Explosion, including putting a candle on your mouse cord to keep it from moving, keeping your wrist bent at a 90 degree angle, to even the highly illegal method of utilizing mouse keys + the scroll wheel to provide a comfortable meso dropping experience(I loved that video by the way). I'm not here to talk about any of that. I'm here to talk about a method that no one has ever shown me or discussed(to my knowledge), so I hope you enjoy and maybe take something away from it. If you find my method to be subpar or not for you, that is totally understandable. Everyone has their own ways of playing the game, so just have fun! Prerequisites: -Lock Cursor Tools: free to download software that performs the simple function of locking your cursor to a fixed location. Think of it like nailing your mouse to your desk so it never moves again. This can be substituted with: putting a candle on your mouse cord like a barbarian so it doesn't jostle around. -Gaming Mouse with Programmable buttons: to anyone that says "you shouldn't have to buy a fancy gaming mouse to play the game," you're absolutely right. You don't have to buy this. You don't have to drop mesos like this. However, it's the same argument as buying a better computer that can handle multiple clients for farming. The player wants to enhance his/her experience in maple royals so they decide to go out of their way to do so. It's not mandatory to do well in the game. -gAmER hands: If you don't like your fingies getting destroyed from rapid clicking, I suggest you don't put points into meso explosion. Setting up: (example gaming mouse setup) Note that both the right and left mouse buttons are set to Left click. Also note that I have buttons programmed to change mouse profiles so I can return to the original mouse configuration of Left + Right Click. (lock cursor tools) In order to utilize cursor tools, you want to: 1. Open up the Lock cursor Tools program 2. Click "Set area" in the user defined category. 3. Using the drag tool provided, select only the small meso icon on the bottom of your inventory. 4. Drag your meso drop box "O K" button directly over your meso icon. 5. Finally, input the command to turn on Lock cursor Tools (default is Ctrl + Alt + i) Why use this: Honestly, the original method of spam clicking Left Mouse button works very well. So well that shadowers can down horntail main body in the time that it takes for me to gather six degens to go horntail with me in the first place. But let's run the numbers here before we get too comfortable(there aren't many). I performed the online click speed test to see exactly how fast using shadsoo method was compared to the original. Single Yuubi RESULT Not bad, right? Let's say two clicks is one bag of mesos. That's around 5 bags per second! I wouldn't call myself the best cookie clicker in the world, but I'd say I have a respectable mouse speed. But let's see how many clicks I can get with the usage of two fingies... Double Yuubi RESULT My god 16.4 clicks per second? Let's put that into perspective: 9.8/16.4 = ~0.58 Meaning that using the old method is only 58% of the drop speed you could be having if you used the shadsoo method.(Results may vary, batteries not included. blablabla) Conclusion: Damn corsair really sucks at horntail huh Thanks for reading everyone. Hope someone found this helpful, and if you didn't, then I hope you had a good laugh atleast.
Yup, this is exactly how I do it. Happy to see someone else is doing it and there's no secret I've been unaware about... well except for one other method*. (After bombing enough horntail tails, the will to find a better way will come whether you like it or not ) *What I'm struggling with now is mapping LEFTCLICK to three keys on my numpad (NUMPAD4, NUMPAD5, NUMPAD6). This way you can lock the mouse position, and play your keyboard keys like a piano. It's still 1:1. For some reason, even though my keyboard has N-key rollover, holding down CTRL + V for paste is interrupted when I click a third key on the keyboard, which I guess is windows trying to interpret a command of the form "CTRL + V + NUMPAD5". This doesn't change even with mousekeys enabled. If you can find a way around that, I would be eternally grateful.
how many mouse got destroyed in the process? Spoiler: corsair best job ! don't give up on corsair ! underrated a lot,but with litle bit of smokescreens help we can rebound at HT ! plus Bullseye can be very good at VL soonTM unless VL comes broken as ephenia and with extreme hit numbers ....
Hi just doing some research, what happens if you press D + A together, whats your output? Could you test in Discord, the search bar of your browser, and in this chatbox? Thanks for bringing up N key rollover, I was wondering what my issue was when dropping bags using the keyboard.
Let's say your using a mouse with buttons on the side. Assign Ctr to one button, and V to another. Use your thumb to hit both sides buttons and either left click or assign a key to left click and this method is much more relaxed/faster than normal methods imo. Still nothing comapred to the shadsoo method but thats a lot of work. This is important because it defeats the problem @nut mentioned above, it continues to allow Nkro to work ? Not quite sure the technicalities, but something happens. So if you made an ahk script that remapped 2 buttons to left click such as F3,F4 you could hold two buttons on your mouse for Ctr and V, and then use 2 fingers to spam F3,F4 this should reduce the strain on your fingers. The ahk script would be F3::LButton F4::LButton The fastest I've been able to get is 10 CPS, where the shadsoo method gets 16, obviously its much better but my method is much more relaxed imo, you just play piano on your keyboard and side mouse buttons. This shall be named, The Aqwrd Method. lol. @Matt
