While walking around Orbis, Aquarium and El Nath, I've noticed that most of the NPCs are way above the place where they're supposed to be standing as marked on the mini map. As I tried to interact with some of said NPCs (Duey, the Storage Keeper, the pet food vendor, sometimes Gaga, the Monster Carnival operator, etc.), I either got no response, got thrown out of the game completely (when I actually did get a response from Gaga, and asked about the details for the excavation event's prizes. Claim: invalid pointer.) or just got logged out of the server (when trying to interact with the pet food vendor in Orbis. Claim: unable to connect. My internet connection is absolutely okay.). I don't know if this is something that happens in other cities in the game currently, but I certainly encountered those occurrences in these three.
You are most likely using outdated game files, there was an update about two weeks ago. Download the new game files from the MapleRoyals website. Similar cases here and here.
Thank you! That did solve the placement problem. The interaction problem with Duey and the pet food vendor still exists, regardless. I believe that's already been noted by other players. Either way, I appreciate the help! It certainly solved some of the issues.
