Every time reinstall the MapleRoyals setup, the mapleroyals.exe exists however, when i run the exe or the shortcut, it disappears. I'm confused about why it keeps disappearing
Your antivirus deletes it, and you will need to disable it and then make an exception for the MapleRoyals.exe.
he i disabled my antivirus but still cant instal the client before i didnt have any problems and now downloaded the new update want 2 install en nothing works anymore :S
currently have this same problem. All anti virus turned off... restarted defender ensure realtime scanning off and placed entire maple into exception list problem remains
Do you have administrative rights on the computer you are using ? To me it definitly looks like Windows Defender is still being hostile towards mapleroyals even after you made an exception. Try completely removing the client from your computer and downloading it again, but make sure your WD is disabled from admin mode. (this is what I had to do the first time I played from my surface pro MMV)
so i just started up playing again using maplestoryfullscreen.exe and all of a sudden it crashed and the .exe was deleted. Defender isn't even on. when i Click it it says, "This program is turned off", "click to turn on". I have no other anti virus installed on my computer at this time. I have restarted multiple times, turned defender on/off, ensured the exclusions and realtime scanning is off. I have uninstalled, redownloaded the game files multiple times in different scenarios and I'm at a loss for how to stop this. I'm starting to wonder if I have an actual virus messing with my system. =\
Hi, I just had this same problem and fixed it. Make sure to set a defender exception for the folder you have it in. Start menu> Settings> Update & security> Windows Security + open windows defender security center> Settings in bottom left> virus & threat protection settings under notificatons> exclusions, then add the folder. Hope this helps
