I was training with a friend in HHG3, and began showing him all of my equipment, including my +9 STR 244 ATT Maroon Mop. After I was done showing my items and cancelled the trade, I got everything back except for the mop. I tried relogging, but it didn't fix anything.
I'm not aware of anything that would have caused that to happen. Are you sure you checked everywhere? @Matt @Sila @Pete any ideas?
I dont have a clue, unless you were somehow lacking inventory space, or both of you were brought into an instance (party quest etc) at the same time. However, the latter should have returned it after a CC or a relog, and I dont see how the first is possible?
I know that I had the inventory space, as I had just placed around 7 items from my inventory into the trade. All of them appeared back in my inventory, minus the mop, leaving one free space at the very end of my inventory. And yes, believe me, I've checked everywhere.
I don't particularly care to have it back, (as I don't really play this game as often as I used to) I'm just curious as to where it went and how it happened, because I don't want it to happen to someone else in the same situation that it may affect to a greater degree.
There's really nothing we can look into if we have no clue what could've caused it, really. Things dont tend to just up and disappear for no reason. There's been no database crashes, no rollbacks, nothing that could've caused you to suddenly miss an item from a trade. I don't have a clue where it could've gone and neither do the other staff members- so what do you want us to look into? It's hard to look into something that just disappeared without a trace. Only so much we can do.
