hi, is it me or are the prices always inflating? e.g. AP resets went from 7m to 11m in a few months. If so, what is a good item to put the money in? What should i put my $ in, so I am not affected by inflation: - chaos - ws - AP reset
From my money sink thread, people lean against having White Scrolls and Chaos Scrolls buyable for mesos. I personally wouldn't mind having static prices for these kinds of stuff, but this seems to be an unpopular opinion. http://royals.ms/forum/threads/money-sink-ideas.16062/
It's quite hard to predict what how the economy is going to change unless you are a dedicated marketeer. And I would be surprised if anyone who knew how it is going to change would really tell you, because they would lose out on profiteering from it themselves.
As Plenty Said ,most likely because of how easy nx is obtainable with the event, don't think it has much to do with actual money sink. There have been a few good, meso sink suggestions, I really think it's better to do something about it now or else, you will need to actually delete mesos from the server, like what happened in Ems because of dupes, I don't like the idea of chaos/white scrolls from an npc since that would destroy gachapon for a lot players, since that is the most valuable item, but maybe have it for a day or something, could be good and would sink away some mesos.
You still think we need more meso sink options? We have gotten rid of 106,509,000,000 Mesos via owl of minerva, and 73,911,764,071 Mesos from merchant tax since those were introduced a couple of months ago. There's also the trade tax on top of that but we don't have logs for those. We have also patched all the dupes that we are aware of, which includes the one that a specific meso selling site was using (which no longer as meso in stock).
Also keep in mind there's maybe 3 or 4 people who are constantly buying AP resets right now. When one person smegas they're buying for 8mil, the next person will try to "outbid" then and start to buy for 9mil. People will see this, and then they wont sell for 8mil anymore when they know someone will buy for 9mil. The cycle continues- it works for deflation as well, but with items like white scrolls where there's a more limited amount and higher amount of people buying them, its more difficult to get a rapid price change from just two or three people.
