Character Name: Primeape (/Rumor/Mankey) Last thing you did: HS while leeching at Ulu2 Why do you think you got banned?: Botting Ban message when attempting to log in: "Your account has been temporarily banned for botting. The ban expires on Thu, 29 Dec 2016 02:17:52 (GMT). Details: TimK temporarily banned primeape" What GM banned you (optional): TimK Hello. I'm apologize in advance if what I'm doing is not allowed. (If the GM that looks at this is running short on time and would like to skip the explanation to just answer the important question with a yes or a no, I have it bolded). I have served somewhere from 1-2 days of my 7 day ban for botting. Nothing wrong there, I'm not disagreeing with that or anything. I presume this is probably against GM/ban guidelines, but I'll ask anyways: is there any way I could serve an extended ban sentence, but at a later date and be unbanned for the duration until then? The reason I ask is because the way things currently are, I'm banned for a large portion of my Christmas break from school, which is a period that I have a lot of free time to play the game. However, once school starts again, I won't have as much time to play the game. For this reason, I am asking if the ban time could be extended to however long the GM's feel is necessary, but moved to start on January 1, and that I will be unbanned for the duration until then (the increase in ban time is to make up for the fact that it would be less of a punishment if it lasted just as long but I had less time to play anyways at that point). There's also the fact that I wouldn't be able to check out the new source at all for two weeks (or however long the new ban is decided to be). I would guess that the answer to this will be no, which makes sense; I'm assuming there's some sort of policy about how bans are final (unless there is sufficient evidence to prove that said person was wrongly banned, and I'm not able to provide that). I also expect something of the nature that if I wanted to play I shouldn't have broken the T&C, which again I can't argue with. However, as someone who want to spend their Christmas Break playing MapleRoyals, I thought I'd at least ask. Again I apologize that this is outside the format of a traditional ban appeal, and if I shouldn't be asking at all. I thank any and all GM's for their consideration.
Hello. I apologize for my impatience, but my thread will soon be moved to the second page in terms of recentness/relevance, and all other threads on the second page are either closed or have at least had some form of GM involvement. There have also been a large number of newer threads replied to by GM's, and I just want to make sure mine isn't forgotten. If the GM's have looked at my post and are just discussing/working on the issue, that's perfectly fine and I'm sorry to be a bother. Or, if they just haven't had the time to get to it yet, but once they do they will consider it normally and respond in a routine manner, that's fine as well (and again I apologize for my impatience). However, I suspect that the lack of response may be due to the fact that I have not proposed a typical ban appeal (not provided evidence as to why I shouldn't be banned but instead requesting for the ban to be moved). If this is the case, and my "appeal" will not be looked at (closed without staff intervention), that's perfectly fine and reasonable, but it would be much appreciated if I was informed of that. Again, I thank any and all GM's for their consideration. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. EDIT: I have been informed that my request is ridiculous and there is a 100% chance the answer will be no when/if it is gotten to. I can't disagree. There's only 3 days left of the ban anyways, and I guess I can spend my break doing more productive things. Please close this thread.
it wouldnt be much of a punishment if we banned you during a time you're not planning to play anyway now would it? unfortunately we dont shift bans around to make them more convenient for you
