I can understand not being able to sell/trade/gift items that are untradeable, but why can't we move those items between our own accounts with storage..? /I'm only griping because I got a lovely chair on a char that doesn't match it... EDIT* By "accounts" I meant characters... oops :x
Else people would make 5 mules on their main char account for an event like this. Buy chairs on all 6 accounts and profit. I think they put the cap at 3 with a reason.
I'm not upset about the cap--that's reasonable imo, I'm just sad I can't move an untradeable chair to my other characters, so they could use it instead of the one that got it.. Like, I'm not making any profit from it, why can't I move untradeable items between my own chars? I still can't give them to anyone else no matter who has them.
There's no way to know that the second account is yours or an account belonging to someone you want to trade it too, thus bypassing the untradeable part of the chair.
OH No no, I meant just being able to put the item into storage, so another one of your own characters can access it on the account. Sorry!
@John, is there any reason that untradeable items are not allowed to be put into storage? "Quest items" I can see, because then you could get multiple of the same quest item and let your other chars. breeze through more difficult quests, but is there any real harm in letting people transfer untradeable items, like chairs and mount covers, to different chars. on the SAME account? They would still be untradeable no matter what character they're on, so it's not like there would be any profit made...
You can't place untradable items in storage, it's blocked both by the client and the server, so all untradable chairs would have to be modified to support this instead, if they even do, which doesn't seem to come naturally. NX has its own storage in Cash Shop where you can trade Mount Covers.
I see.. so it would be a programing/coding nightmare to do haha Good to know about mount covers tho! I hope there's a way to transfer chairs between chars. in the future..
@Andreas Isn't there a line where you could choose the option to "Transfer through account only"? I've seen before some items that could do that. Cosmetic stuff doesn't seem to be bad being able to do that.
Yes there is an item flag available in this version which allows items to be traded within the account, and shows the message "Movement is possible only within the account" on the item. So it is possible do make a change like this.
I believe this is what the OP mean to say. And I agree that some kind of stuff, like chairs and event items could be like this.
Actually it seems like the flag only shows up for equips, so might not actually be to do this, unless our developer can do something funky in the client for it to show up for chairs.
