Following up on the discussion here: I started leveling up my gunslinger and got it to 180 BASE INT (not equips), with the goal of double washing. When I put fresh level-up AP into MP, I gained (26,30,28,30,28) MP, and lost 16MP each time when resetting it to DEX. The net MP profit per AP was therefore (10,14,12,14,12), which was below the flat 18 per AP I expected when doing this process with 180 BASE INT. So it seems like the (BASE INT/10) rule does not apply for pirates (all the discussion in the previous thread seems to be for warriors/thiefs/archers)? Or am I doing something wrong? Has anyone that has done this before with pirates chime in?
Maybe the average amount of MP gained per level for Corsairs is 8-12. Either that or MP washing is bugged.
with 200 base int a NL should be gaining 30-32 MP per AP put into MP, but then losing 12 mp when that point is removed for a net profit of 18-20 MP (or an average of (base int/10) - 1). The cost of 16 MP is expected for a corsair. I had assumed that meant they would also naturally gain 14-16MP when putting a point into MP, but I'm not entirely surprised that it would be 10-12 instead like it is for archers and thieves. I wouldn't really call it a bug, just something that's different for the corsair class. They've always been harder to wash with their 16MP per wash cost. I'm surprised it took someone this long to notice, though.
don't know why but pirates only get 16+(BASE INT/15)+-2 per wash in this server 180/15=12 → 10~14 my buccaneer got the same result
This is exactly in line with my observations and @GoodDoodoo's as well. Thanks a lot for the insight.
Nobody has been able to confirm that the minimum MP/HP for all classes is what the HP washing guide says so there is still a bit of hope. Reminds me how long it took me to figure out the party leeching formula
Are you sure it's not (10-12) + (base int/10) and then costing 16 per point taken out? 18+10 to 12 = 28-30, with a net profit of ~13 with 180 base (what you got) 20+ 10 to 12 = 30-32, with a net profit of ~15 with 200 base (what gooddoodoo got) Both of these are more similar to mp washing for "normal" classes, so I'm hesitant to believe that it's actually base int/15 and that's not just a coincidence. Anyone with a 4 base int pirate want to test this? (and preferably also one with much more int, but IDK if they're out there) I'll provide a couple of resets.
Free AP Resets? Why not? Actually quite curious to see how this goes. I'll provide a SS later on my buccaneer.
