I can't play on my main KKush anymore. After some time ill just disconnect. Sometimes after 5mins, sometime after 10 seconds. I only have this problem on my main. My mule accounts have no problems.
I have the most recent files, I now also have the problem on my mules too. Mostly only when grinding. But when i log in i can play for like 3-4mins than I D/C. and than after everytime I log in ill D/C in 10seconds to 1 minute making it almost impossible to normally play the game. 2 days ago I didn't have any issues. I tried to re-install the files but that didn't work.
What is the error message that you're getting? Your best bet will be to look up whatever error message you're getting into the search bar.
Have you tried playing on a different internet connection? Sometimes these strange issues are actually caused by ISP's filtering and dropping packets (and it only happens to a few of your characters). So try on a different connection (e.g. tethered mobile) and let us know what happens
Okay, I tried using my telephone's data and I actually managed to play for 10mins straight without any lag or d/c issues. So my wifi is probably the issue. Does MapleRoyals consume much data? Because I don't have unlimited data on my phone. And any tips on how to fix the connection problems on my wifi? I played for months before on the same wifi I'm using now. Thanks anyway for helping both of you
Same here too, middle of selling leech keeps dc but my second client which afk in FM doesn't get to disconnect.. this happens during and after the serverdown/crashed on the other day.. (was it on the 5th? Roughly there.. I don't remember the date)
This is an issue with official Maplestory servers too. Maplestory doesn't use much data, but for some reason that I do not understand, certain characters just stop working correctly. When I investigated it years ago (2007-ish), I realised it was the ISP blocking some of the packets. It is possibly because these packets are getting incorrectly flagged as spam. It generally happens to a specific character, usually the one you've played the most. I've seen people in many different countries with this issue. I'd guess the common factor is the specific software their ISP is using? For me, it would only happen between certain hours. i.e. 7 AM - midnight on weekdays. Between midnight and 7 AM, and in the weekends, my character was actually fine. Have you tried playing that character in the weekend? As far as I know, nobody has ever managed to solve this issue. ISP's deny it. I really hope somebody here will know a solution, but I am not hopeful. Sorry about this, I know this issue is extremely frustrating! This may be THE most irritating and frustrating technical problem with Maplestory!
