Hi guys, I decided I want to create a hero (probably, maybe drk, not sure yet lol) as my 2nd char. I got a 125 i/l mage and I wanted something a bit different, it is great for mobbing and leeching for sure, but I can't do bosses or anything which is kind of a bummer. So I decided I want to get a hero. I realized hp washing isn't a must, but I figured since I'm a bit funded and warrior gear is relatively cheap (compared to magician gear) it'll be easier. I tried reading some guides and got really confused. Each guide says something else, So really I'm not sure what should I do and mostly how. Let's say I got a new character, lv1. Do I need to get base int + int gear? from which level do I need Int gear, and how much? Also, Once I leveled, what do I need to do? When do I actually use the APR? from early on or only on a higher level? My main concern is that I'll start a character and then mess up something having to restart, that's why I'm asking here first. Opened a new character, now what? :O When do I need to fund it for a lot of ap resets, when do I need to add the base int and when do I need to get INT gear? These are things the guides don't say, Which makes these much harder for me to understand. I know there are many guides out there, but these get me even more confused, I need someone experienced to simplify it for me ( Edit: got some information from my guild (Thanks Kneel) I've set my goal to 18750 hp at 135. I'll have 70 base INT by lv.70, +50 int on level 20 from gear. If I go with that way with a new char, Would I be able to get enough mp to reset later on at 135? Also, I only use the ap resets on lv 135, not before. is that correct?
I'm totally with you in it, it's quite complicated even after I sat down with a couple of buddies and asked thousands of question. Trying to wash a new pally, but it's quite tedious just to follow the washing process. I'm with you in the same wagon!
Please don't make a mistake like me, overwashed and overspend. Sad. FYI, to save money on hp washing, please do the following for warriors/bucc 1. Max Increased MaxHP (1st job skill) ASAP. This is first skill you should max soonest possible. I restart my level 25 swordman because i didnt max this while on orbis quest speed leveling. Lol. The difference vs the redo swordman i had was about 1.3k hp. 2. If you have int eqs that add up to 100+ after level 50, dont need to pump base int. Its a waste of money esp your goal is only 18.5k hp by 135. 3. Use fresh AP from leveling to add to HP. Use APR to minus mp and add stats. You get 3x to 5x more hp than you use APR to minus mp add hp. Make sure you wear int eqs when leveling. HP washing warriors can be very cheap, learn from my mistake and dont waste money overwashing!
How much are we talking about cost-wise for the whole process? Let's say hypothetically 30k HP pally at 135 or so, not that I'm actually planning on that but I wanna see the numbers more clearly~
Who in their right mind would need 30K HP at Level 135? Everything you're going to do at this level is kill Krexel (hits just above 2K), Zakum (you don't need to touch body but if you do it's just 10K) and Bigfoot (you never touch him unless you are AFK) It's also not possible to exactly say the cost because it all depends on your base INT. Nobody should need base INT to wash a Warrior, in my opinion. But if you have a hard time getting INT equips, or you have some insasne goal (like 30K HP at Level 10 to be able to tank Mano while you are cooking your deep-fried chicken while watching also Netflix and doing the laundry - completely forgetting about your Maple character standing there losing his health) Well then and only then do you need to add base INT. Base INT is ugly. Base INT makes you weak. Base INT costs money to reset. tl;dr Base INT sucks. If you're avoiding base INT (which you should, in case you didn't understand my message yet) the washing to 30K at Lv.135 will cost you 401 APRs if my quick calculation is correct. That's probably gonna steal 6.8B of your wealth - something that should be used on something more useful like a Crushed Skull or whatever. EDIT: I just realized that I probably should provide some useful information too. It seems two people in this thread are looking for advice. You set a goal, that's goal. But what's behind that goal? Personally I would set a lower goal (hehe) but that's up to you. To reach 18750 HP by Lv.135 as a Hero, you need just 7o TOTAL INT (the talk about base INT is very dangerous my friend) so if you add INT when you level up to 2, 3, 4 and 5 you'll from then on have 20 base INT. It will be enough. This is assuming you'll start wearing INT equips at Lv.50 though, so since you'll start at Lv.20 I'd just forget about base INT entirely if I were you. And 50 INT is very easy to get. I believe I had 60 INT from equips on my first character in this game, which later increased to about 80 around Lv.90 for me. You have a farming machine to fund your new character so you could count with a lot more than 50 INT from equips. The information stated above I got by using Shiyui's HP Washing Calculator. I can't guarantee it's accurate but I know from experience that you need very little INT to HP Wash a Warrior (there's difference between the Warriors though) All of the above information goes to you too. And I'll add a bit about the actual process of HP Washing. First, you level up to add up the amount of base INT you want. Base INT should cap at 4 in my opinion, so at Lv.1 you'll be done with this, congratulations! While step 1 was easy, step 2 might take a bit more effort. Now you want to find equips that boost your INT stat, and you equip all of these before each time you level up (I like using a Sword with INT, because in that way I can deal decent damage with Slash Blast even when I'm burdened by all of this ugly INT gear. A total INT (Total INT = Base INT + INT from equips) of 10 will give you 1 extra MP upon Level Up. 20 INT will give +2 and so on (Please note that both 50 and 59 INT will give +5 MP, so you might want to be smart here) Level up normally by enjoying the Maple World with your lovely buddies and pretty cool guildies and rather annoying alliance members. Forget about leech cuz it ain't cool. Only weak people like NLs, BMs and MMs need to deal with that crap. We Warriors live in another realm. After a while you reach a height, the lovely level of 135 or 155 or whatever goal you set, and you realize that "Gosh, these bosses are too much for me! I need to raise my HP". Well, good thing you boosted your MP with all those ugly pieces of equipment. Now this extra MP (which we don't use for anything else anyway) can be transformed into HP. How cool! What a fantastic feature glitch. So, to start the actual washing: Add one AP into HP Use AP Reset to -MP + STR Repeat until the smile on your face grows too large. Use your last AP Reset to -MP + HP Now you are back to "normal stats" (no extra AP into HP or MP - all into STR like it should be). But the magic has happened. Your HP has increased significantly while your MP is still high enough to use Brandish or Blast or whatever a couple of times. Sell your INT Equips for more money than you bought them for and be happy that you didn't waste a ton on AP Reset to reset your base INT That is my 10-step HP Washing guide (it could be expanded into 100 steps too, but I minimized it to keep it simple)
Aiight, thanks for the long and informative explaining, that really added a lot to it! I already got around 15 base INT, but I think I'll stop there by what you're saying. Won't be too bad washing that down later on back to STR, and I think I got pretty fine INT equips to help raise the MP pool enough. Also about the "30k goal", I was just trying to figure out general numbers and guidance, nothing too specific
Hey FYIP, it just costs me 240 APR to reach 30k hp by adding fresh AP to HP, and using APR to -mp+stats. You just need to max the first job max hp skill first before doing so. Of course i made a mistake by adding base int which resulted me to waste about 1.6b worth of APR to reset to main stats.
